These are without a doubt the second best BLM nuking pants out at the moment. Only morrigan's really stacks up. Jet Seraweels are a step down, and Cobra Unit Slops don't really come close to the awesomeness that is Mahatma.

Good luck to anyone going for Morrigan's, as those are the true pants of a good BLM.

(PS - Relic pants are better for the situational day use) :)
How?

I have a 75 BLM and 75 BRD.

I used to use the Sh'air pants. But all in all, doesnt make much of a difference.
HP+2% MP+1% CHR+8

I use these pants for my blm and brd.

BLM reason is obvious. But i macro in Afv2 pants for specific weather purposes only. As in if it is Lightning weather, {/equip legs "Sorcerer's Tonban"} for a thunder spell <3

BRD CHR+8 is nice as well. Which is why i use it.

No other reason really. Choosing between these pants and the Sha'ir pants is basically loosing 10mp and 20hp. (Roughly) I usually /NIN anyway.
Well

In order for ya to get 10 mp from the +1% MP on the Sha'ir Seraweels, ya would need to have 1000 MP...

And thatd be 1000 MP on Brd 8/
know how to use them

These slops are awesome if you know how to use them. If you are a lvl 72 mage then there is a good chance that you know what a macro is. I am a blm and use these things for casting. Most scenerios I am only a caster so these would be the pants that I would wear for that. If I gotta use sleepga 2 then I would macro switch my legs onto the Igqira lappas for the enfeeble +10, then I would switch back to these after the spell for better nuke damage. These pants also help with blms stoneskin and other enhancing spells because of the mind boost that they give.

Never use these things for weapon fighting, ever. The only legs I can even think of that are better then these for nukes are the AF2 or AF+1. For blms
Meh

You get an extra point of DEF along with an extra point of INT, MND, and CHR. It's not like it's a worse piece of equipment or the tradeoff is in a larger ratio. I see what you're saying, though.
