If I saw:
Honomura lost a compound eye circlet.
Does that mean it's used in a recipe, or is there some other thing you can do that'll show this? I was by the Jueno AH when this happened too.

earth crystal+poet's circlet+hecteyes eye...

In any case, if armor or weapons are desynthable, it usually means they are synthable too.

An interview with a developer from Square said that items boosting evasion directly dramaticaly help evasion better than items that boost agility. I've heard elsewhere that +2 agility = +1 evasion.

Here's the link on stat effects:

This is a guess, a hypothesis, a theory, so don't quote me on this, nor take it as factual.

But I think that SE has placed more than a single variable to one stat. I, personally, don't believe that 2 Agility only does +1 Evasion. What other variables it may change, I'm not sure, but you may find more use out of +2 AGI than +1 evasion.

AGI also affects parrying and shield block activation. However, if you are not being attacked, these are irrelevant, so for a THF in party, I would suggest the much higher eva rate of this rather than the headband.

as a thief i prefered the bandana because i had enough evasion skills as it was.
you get one more point of defense and +1 agility wich helps with evasion too, i think

I equipped this on my lvl 12 thief and when I check my evasion skill it doesn't change!?! Is this a bug or does it not show up under evasion. You would think it would show your evasion skill with +5 next to it.

Your Evasion SKILL is just that...a SKILL, not an ATTRIBUTE. The skill MODIFIES the attribute, based on a number of factors. You have no way of seeing what your evasion ATTRIBUTE is, just as you have no way of seeing what your accuracy is.

Just as your SKILL modifies the attribute, so too does the Eye Circlet...but since you can't SEE the attribute, you can't confirm on-screen some stat that shows you have gained the effect of the Circlet.

It doesn't show it, but it does add to evasion. it adds up to +5 Evasion, but I don't think it goes over your level's max (so if you have evasion maxxed out, it does nothing). Also, you gain points in evasion as if you weren't wearing it.

The previous posters seems confident that it does add to evasion even though it doesn't show. I bought one, relatively cheap (~1500). +5 evasion seems like a pretty serious boost. If nothing shows in skill stats, what makes you think it actually is boosting evasion? I am thinking there is probably a bug here?

It does NOT raise your evasion skill. that is a different thing altogeather. this raises your acctually evasion STAT. this is a hidden stat that you cannot see, just like accuracy. THIS WILL NOT EFFECT ANY NUMBER YOU CAN SEE, EXCEPT THE FOUR DEFENSE. it does work. or, theres no evidence to prove otherwise.
