Currently selling at 50k on my server. I remember picking one up for almost nothing last year, but now they're a bit more fashionable. :)

I was dissapointed to see it isn't actually blue when you put it on. ; ;

But yeah, really is a good circlet. Great for my THF.
Recipe?

If I saw:
Honomura lost a compound eye circlet.
Does that mean it's used in a recipe, or is there some other thing you can do that'll show this? I was by the Jueno AH when this happened too.

Hmm... just a guess, but has anyone tried this:
earth crystal+poet's circlet+hecteyes eye...

In any case, if armor or weapons are desynthable, it usually means they are synthable too.

I dunno about that. All the goblin armour and Yag necklaces can be desynthed, bot not crafted.

All I gotta say to this one is Ouch. Made that mistake once with a Poison dagger (I was the one to find that wonderful recipe:(...

Note to self:
Lightning Crystal + Expensive Item = BAD MISTAKE!!!

An interview with a developer from Square said that items boosting evasion directly dramaticaly help evasion better than items that boost agility. I've heard elsewhere that +2 agility = +1 evasion.

Here's the link on stat effects:

This is a guess, a hypothesis, a theory, so don't quote me on this, nor take it as factual.

But I think that SE has placed more than a single variable to one stat. I, personally, don't believe that 2 Agility only does +1 Evasion. What other variables it may change, I'm not sure, but you may find more use out of +2 AGI than +1 evasion.

AGI also affects parrying and shield block activation. However, if you are not being attacked, these are irrelevant, so for a THF in party, I would suggest the much higher eva rate of this rather than the headband.

If you're not being attacked, isn't the EVA rate also irrelevant?
RE: compare
# Oct 16 2005 at 6:06 AM Rating: Decent
*shrug* as a thf 30+ agi is just as if not more useful then eva because agi helps with TA but lower lvl thf eva is much better.

as a thief i prefered the bandana because i had enough evasion skills as it was.
you get one more point of defense and +1 agility wich helps with evasion too, i think

actually this item increased the evasion stat, not the skill, so you are most likely much better off wearing this.

does this work
# Nov 29 2003 at 11:24 AM Rating: Default
I equipped this on my lvl 12 thief and when I check my evasion skill it doesn't change!?! Is this a bug or does it not show up under evasion. You would think it would show your evasion skill with +5 next to it.
RE: does this work
# May 26 2004 at 3:07 PM Rating: Decent
Your Evasion SKILL is just that...a SKILL, not an ATTRIBUTE. The skill MODIFIES the attribute, based on a number of factors. You have no way of seeing what your evasion ATTRIBUTE is, just as you have no way of seeing what your accuracy is.

Just as your SKILL modifies the attribute, so too does the Eye Circlet...but since you can't SEE the attribute, you can't confirm on-screen some stat that shows you have gained the effect of the Circlet.

yeah I just picked one up and noticed the same thing :( hope it works :)
RE: does this work
# Dec 06 2003 at 8:57 PM Rating: Default
It doesn't show it, but it does add to evasion. it adds up to +5 Evasion, but I don't think it goes over your level's max (so if you have evasion maxxed out, it does nothing). Also, you gain points in evasion as if you weren't wearing it.
RE: does this work
# Jan 13 2004 at 5:11 PM Rating: Default
The previous posters seems confident that it does add to evasion even though it doesn't show. I bought one, relatively cheap (~1500). +5 evasion seems like a pretty serious boost. If nothing shows in skill stats, what makes you think it actually is boosting evasion? I am thinking there is probably a bug here?

It does NOT raise your evasion skill. that is a different thing altogeather. this raises your acctually evasion STAT. this is a hidden stat that you cannot see, just like accuracy. THIS WILL NOT EFFECT ANY NUMBER YOU CAN SEE, EXCEPT THE FOUR DEFENSE. it does work. or, theres no evidence to prove otherwise.

It's probably so cheap only because it's so relatively easy to get.

I think for a mage it is tough to choose between this and a hairpin that will give +MP mods.
