this bow looks coll and it owns so if ur good sam ull get it for atleast pulling but even for ranged weapon skills its good so yeah

omfg everybody saying this is such a great bow for sam, who cares? i'm a 74 rng/nin and i love this bow. 75 dam + 15 ratt. who gives a rats you know what about racc i have way more of that then i can use anyway, and delay 600? less then my normal hellfire. Hook me up with some demon arrows, and elemental arrows with another rng, a blm, a brd, a pld and who cares? one rng shoots acid and holy, the other shoots demon and elemental while we get archers prelude from the brd, burst from the blm, and the occasional cover from the pld. god i love this bow. end of story.o and if you think my god a ranger with a bow at 70+ remember on ramuh demon arrows go 20k while silver bullets go 19k. it is the rangers job to help the pt in all things not just damage. and with this bow i can help the pt while still doing massive amounts of damage, and anybody who thinks otherwise should keep their n00b asses away from ffxi

I really don't see why not since SAM is part of your job. If you do then this is the weapon anyone wanting to try RNG/SAM should use because it's just perfect for it. You get +r.acc, +r.atk, good base dmg, and a decent delay.
I used it and got about 18% TP per shot which was lovely for doing Sidewinder > Barrage > Sidewinder > Meditate > Sidewinder.
*note* I do not recommend doing the above on anything less than chain 5 and without Cover from a PLD. The damage is sick often around 75% of the mobs HP. You need to make sure the BLM knows it's ok to nuke the hell of the mob also so you don't get stuck with a mob that has 25% hp when cover wears off x_X;

Nope, I think it's funny that this is (to my knowledge) the ONLY weapon that states the Latent effect... You need to have Sam as your main though.
these bows now go for 50-60k on gilgamesh, peeps on Gilg, send me a /tell :P

TPs are based on delay, so this bow is ideal for a sam/rng. The logic plays out something like this:
More delay = more TPs/arrow.
Barrage is not a WS, so you still get normal TPs for each arrow that lands.
Samurai should not be getting the bulk of their TPs from their bow, even if they sub RNG.
When you use barrage, you only get the delay of one arrow, not per arrow that is fired.
When you add it all up, this bow gives a nice lump TP gain every 5 minutes when you use barrage/sharpshot *because* of the delay, not in spite of it. The +7 accuracy for sams is just a bonus.
If you want to sit there and fire off arrows all fight long, then this might be a bit excessive in terms of delay. If you're pulling with it and barraging with it and more or less nothing else, then this is an excellent weapon. And really, if you want to sit and fire a bow all day long, just be a ranger. Bows enhance a samurai but should not define them.

for those who couldn't figure it out, this bow is more or less specifically for sam/rng
at that level a samurai has, let's face it, pretty crappy accuracy with a bow, but when they hit sharpshot and have the right equipment, and a brd to hook 'em up with hunter's prelude, then this bow is great for 2 things: barrage and sidewinder getting high damage on both and because of the extra +Racc and high delay, nearly 100% tp return (thanks also to store TP III) if all shots from barrage connect
this is not really a good damage bow. for that a sam/rng would be better off with master caster's bow; same damage, same +Racc, lower delay and if you're a windurstian, it enhances "resist blind"
but the MC's bow doesn't have the +Ratk so your average damage with that will be lower

600 delay is not double 300 delay in seconds, btw. This bow isn't that pricey either, since u all seem to want to know - like 100k on Gilgamesh at AH. I'm gonna make my own, signed ^^

holy sh*t that bow is good damage but wait holy sh*t the delay is holy sh*t too. 6sec delay is rediculous.if u miss oh god good luck to u 6 seconds gone. u can attack1.5 time with it and ur damage wont be much higher then a great katana coz skill level is only 250 at 75 and gt skill is 276 at 75. plus u ccan get lots of attack form equip but not as many rng attack.

all XP bows RNGs use are 490+ delay, most of them are in the low 500s. some even go with a 720 delay bow at Lv 59. you're making a big deal out of nothing.

Wow. I saw a hi-lvl SAM on my server (Carbuncle) in Jeuno yesterday with one of these and this thing is FREAKIN UNBELIEVEABLE! I cant wait till i get my SAM that hi so i can finally use it. Does anyone know how much this bad boy is gonna cost me kuz i need to know what im gonna be in for at lvl72.
OmG This bow is awesome! But the Delay is freaking horrible! What I'd give my right testicle to have that bow - Wait, no I wouldn't. I'm a dark knight I need no such things nor can I equip it - But I would love to sell it!
