Aren't HQ staves better than something like this? The hidden magic accuracy effects make lullaby and elegy stick a lot better than something like monster signa ever did, at least for me. They're great for Threnody in manaburns too.

Even NQ staves are better than this for brd.
I had one and never ever used it for anything.

This nm can be soloed by a 75 blm/rdm. Got my Kard today, just grav, bind, dot, kite and nuke once in a while. Took roughly around 8 min to kill.

Lawrenz an I took this down in the morning before emergency maintence. We had been down there camping Mysticmaker for my earring. Between pops on Mystic we were hunting the chest for my map an came across Soulstealer unclaimed. Cleared away another gob then pulled Soulstealer. Wasn't all that hard for the two of us. The Kard didn't drop though. XD We didn't know what it was supposed to drop either. Killed it out of curiosity. NIN & WHM can easily duo this without much problem. ^^

Done with a 75 BRD, 75 THF, and a 75 PLD who was afk! So, basicly a 75 THF and a 75 BRD.

I got this knife over 1 year ago and it's still my favorite!

When I craft & Fish, I wear this knife with pride. When I mess around with BRD/NIN its a nice combo with Joyeuse.

I'm either 1/4 or 1/5 on this; can't quite remember. The first time was with a 75 NIN and 70+ BLM (with me at 70 BRD), the second time with a party, and the other times the NIN and I just duo'd it.

Killing placeholders with a 70 BRD and 75 NIN is trivial, and I was able to get a few sword skillups as well (the NIN worked on his latent effect weapon). You can easily avoid fighting the Manticore/Wyvern pop; it just sits in the corner. For the NM, I used {Soul Voice} and double March, stuck Elegy and Requiem (massive slow and 16 damage/tick), threw up Barfira, gave myself Ballads, and watched the NIN fly. Soulstealer doesn't really spam bombs (he used about 2 each time), and always seems to drop 2000 gil, a gold beastcoin, and some gobbie parts.

We had no competition each time, and it took him far less than 2 hours to pop. So I'd say this isn't a very popular NM (which is a good thing).

Thanks very much to Kimiko (the NIN) for helping me get my kitchen knife of doom.

I helped take this down in a Exp group pt was Nin/war Rng/nin Thf/nin brd/whm whm/blm blm/whm we were all 61-63. The fight was kinda tough but all in all a lot easier fight then Ose which we also fought though we teamed up for that one. No drop from this Gob. He is a thief type gob with high eva Triple attack and Perfect dodge.
I would not say any pt can kill this thing at 61-63 but a good working pt can.

I bet this would be great for the Maat fight...Nice DMG and great delay...and that +5 CHR will help Debuff songs.

On MystreyTour they had a Party of 6 all lvl 75 beat this guy. They said he was not easy but not hard, so i would think he would check tough to a lvl 75. Kind of hard for a item like this if you ask me.
