me 72 war/nin and bro 70 thf/nin and npc's (mine 48)(his 55) both on soothing healers so after about 1 hr of farming for the pop item it drops we both get 300 tp and we go to pop it once it wuz poped i voked and got aggressor berserk and warcry up then mighty strikes and rampge for about 1200 dmg then he dancing edge for like 900 dmg mob is alrdy down to 20% i keep hitting him with my 2hr take him down to about 1% then i die bro kills it and he gets his knife yay!

My LS has quite a few end game THF and when I finally picked up my Thief's Knife they pointed out it would not work in the off hand. (I was using P. Harpe/TK when they brought it up) I mostly use TK/Blau anyway, but since TH isn't somehting easily measured can anyone confirm if TK needs to be main handed to give the TH+1?

TH is a job trait, so it's active in any slot as long as the item is equipped.

TK is nice to have for any real thf. TK wasn't meant for everyone and I still think it shouldn't be, I am not hating I'm just stating the facts. Any ubber player would say the same. I guess somewhere down the road SE will gimp TH3 like they did with TH2 and come out with another item for TH5. Why? Too many thieves hold TH3 and its nice for anyone to have a better chance for drops in any endgame and we all kniw SE isn't that nice.

40 mil to 900k and dropping like a fly i reckon will level out soon tho as GS have given up on this NM on Seraph there no where near it just too many players there :D:D

Sozu is now a POP NM. He is popped with the RA/EX Flickering Lantern. Pursuers in the Temple OR Trailers in the Den will drop this Lantern. My LS got a lantern to drop on 1st Trailer kill. I later soloed the Trailers as WAR/NIN. Took about 10 kills to get my drop. The ??? for Sozu pop is the same spot where he spawned prior to update. I'm unsure of the ??? timer. I would assume about 15 minutes or so. I can confirm that at the moment this Knife is a 100% drop. The Knife still has the same previous stats prior to the update and can be placed on the AH. Good Luck to all.
On caitsith people have still been paying 1 to 2 million for the knife, post-update

Even though this drop rate totaly SUCKS, I think its worth it to camp it the knife is selling for 20-50 Mil on Hades. Even though hades is the worst server in my opinon this is the only thing good priced I see =)

(By the way, THFs are the main suppliers of Mage's Ballad II, which I can guarantee you is a hell of a lot more useful than a Thief's Knife has ever been. And while it may not be quite as pricey as the knife, I can't say I've ever seen any THFs giving them away to BRDs as charity.)

I have gotten this twice alrdy takes alot of dedication and camping one time I spent 7 days and got a drop then another took weeks working on third on now
I dont understand how anyone can be under 0/100 its simply beyond my comprehension, i am 0/140 and and i dont see how it could actually drop. How people are 0/300 then others are 1/1 is just wrong and sick of se's part, they should have never made its drop rate so horrid. I know dozens of people who have got it and sold and since im the only one who wouldnt sell it i never get it its incredible. Buying it isnt an option for any normal person and camping it is basicly saying goodbye to your real life for a chance at knife or killing nm knowing it wont drop. Dont waste your time people this guys saying 1/30 are one out of a hundred or a thousand who actually gets the knife.

I FINNALY GOT IT^^ 1/38
lol when it droped i imediatly equiped it to answer the question on everyone's mind that was present. then just sat there for a good 10-15 mins stunned... lol
kept waiting for that lot to outbid me lol... see last post for more on that lol ;;
but getting that claim i was incredibly lucky. there were 6 others in that room 2 of which were RMT popped right next to me just out of my sight T.T i heard the sound of spells going off then the suddenly stopped (guessing everyone there fell victum to the claiming nerf) i had thought for sure it was claimed but when i turned around the lil #$%$ was standing there staring at me unclaimed!!! i started spamming my claim macro and got it lol. he went out of his way to make the fight as agrovating as possible lol everytime i got near 100tp he would do light of penence lol.
finally glad to join the TH4 club^^ or TH2+2 w/e pl call it these days lol
to those that are camping dont give up your day will come and the more you kill the more you apreciate it when you finally get the drop:)

1/4 on this knife. First claim on him was while GS are using that small room as their home, now SE banned MOST of them, had the chance to camp him on my own.
But my thf can't use it yet lol. I will keep this knife though.

Sozu Rogberry: 1/2
First time I got kill was when a MNK wiped to Sozu. He had Sozu at 1% HP. When he was defeated, Sozu's name went yellow, and I finished him with 1 hit. No drop. I don't know if that really counts. If not, I'd be 1/1
Then it happened. I was camping and all the gil sellers in the room disappeared. This was the big RMT banning on 11/24. At that instant, the 9.5k RMT were banned. I was alone in the room for the 1'st time since I started camping Sozu 20 or so hours before. Sozu popped moments later, I got the claim, the knife dropped. 2'nd kill ever. Killed as Lv74 THF/Lv37 NIN. Camped Sozu solo and killed solo. Camped Sozu solo for 21 straight hours up until it dropped. Never camped Sozu before those 21 hours of camping. I killed every placeholder right away as soon as they popped during those 21 hours. Noone but me ever bothered to kill any of the placeholders. Saw Sozu pop 6 times during those 21 hours. Got no claims for any of Sozu's pops. Only times I got a claim on Sozu was when the MNK wiped with Sozu at 1% HP and the 1'st Sozu pop just after the RMT bannings 2 hours later.
I must be one of the lucky ones. I told my LS, in which they flipped. The whole time I was camping Sozu, my LS told me I had no chance at getting the knife. All the THF in my LS were furious when I told them. They all camped Sozu for months before they got theirs. What makes it more unbelievable is that none of them had to compete for RMT either. When they each got their knife, RMT hadn't knew about Sozu yet, so their chances were much, much greater for obtaining a knife.

0\120 and still triying.. Anyone thinking of camping this dont do it. Once you start you cant stop you get addicted to camping until you see knife drop wich theres a 99% chance of not happening. If i had farmed all this time i would have much more gil than what the knifes worth now and would be done with this. If you camp this get ready for it to mess up your RL and never seeing any reward for your efforts.

IMO drops like this should be rare/ex. This is just asking for gil sellers, and get rich quick schemers.

im doin a lil poll here. witch would you consider to be worse:
1: 0/150 on Sozu Rogberry
2: Seeing it in the treasure pool twice and loseing lot both times.
well im pretty sure that any and every force possible is preventing me from obtaining this dagger. im not 0/150 although ive hear quite a few pl are. rather im 0/33 seeing it drop twice and losing lot. X.X
i guess i really cant complain to much though i did manage to get Assasin's Armlets. wich i figured i would nvr get lol;; but had i won the lot on the first knife i would have been 1/1. that drop was a bad desision on my part me and a rdm had been camping this guy for some odd 8 hours or more. it was my first time there and i was lvl 70. this rdm was camping against me. but after awhile for what ever reason we teamed up. the nm pops and i get claim i resisted the urge to kick him from pt since he wasnt in the room when it poped but i didnt lol. we had agreed to cast lots if it dropped of course niether of use was actually expecting to see it drop. long story short it dropped he won. i had no hard feelings after all i arranged the agreement. just a case of bad judgment on my part.
then on 9/22/06 i was farming the area (i had givin up any hope that i could claim solo RMT literally nvr leave there X.X) and i got talking to a thf that was in one of my ls's and he needed to break lantent on the dagger of trials so he offers to help me farm. at some point we started camping the nm and we ended up getting claim thf75/bst 37 and him thf 75/nin 37 and we got the drop and he won lot. needless to say i felt a lil sick losing lot for the second time lol. so im now 0/33. but on a bright note ill have x2 th-3 trying to get that knife ..... again and maybe this time i can have it lol T.T
also i been working on some theories they could be complete BS for all i know so save the flames plz. i really cannot prove any of what im about to say just some things ive been trying, and or paterns ive been trying to figure out.
until today i thought it might very well be possibility that knife would only drop if a weather effect was in place durring kill. of course i proved this wronge today.
i also had a thought about how/and or if CHR affected drops. when the knife droped today i was 75thf/37bst wearing assasin's guantlets <wich also have chr+5 on them> and assassin's feet wich also has +5 chr and i ate tuna sushi wich adds about another 5 chr.
the only reason i brought that up at all was ive read some several forums and heard rumors about trump crown with is rumored to have TH+ on it. i personally dont think it does however i do believe that chr may play a small factor when getting drops.
then again could have been my gloves finally working /shrug just something to think about or maybe try out.

omg my call was finally answered after spending to much damn time that that little room i like to call " thf prison " i finally got my knife.
sept10,2006 1/64 go figure right. The day i got it was i counted 15 gilfinder scum in that room. dart 4tw. Even though i hated that place i made some good munny killing Ph's and mobs around area. Gold beast coin and ks heaven. had my good and bad times in there (mpking gilfinders) is fun. Also getting 1 shot from final sting is also great. I swear that move scares me.
Getting that Nm from down stairs running in room and hiding. Brings joy to my heart to see gilfinders get wtfpwnt, lol and some even try to kill it only to get pwnt from everyones rancor.

sept10,2006 1/64 go figure right. The day i got it was i counted 15 gilfinder scum in that room. dart 4tw. Even though i hated that place i made some good munny killing Ph's and mobs around area. Gold beast coin and ks heaven. had my good and bad times in there (mpking gilfinders) is fun. Also getting 1 shot from final sting is also great. I swear that move scares me.
Getting that Nm from down stairs running in room and hiding. Brings joy to my heart to see gilfinders get wtfpwnt, lol and some even try to kill it only to get pwnt from everyones rancor.

It's a lotto with a repop timer of 1-16 hours and the drop rate for the knife is 1%. I camped it full time every day (8-15 per day) and killed it 83 times before it finally dropped (and I know people that are 0/150). It took me over 2 months to get it. During that time I did nothing but camp Sozu Rogberry every day, the only time I left that room was to get supplies (where possible I had Ls members bring stuff out to me instead)
What, you thought you were gonna walk in camp for 2 hours and then "ZOMG 80 MILLION G1LZONEONEONE" Haha, not happening. It's 80 million gil for a reason and that's because it has the worst drop rate in the game and there's like 20-30 people in that room 24/7.

So I was in that room for 24 straight days went 1/41 finally got it on 025/06/06 he was a prick but I got alot of things accomplished while I was campin this little green bastard lol cloth up to lvl 50 and so many gold beastcoins but the Thief's Knife is the true treasure from all of it to all those that arent gettin it on their first try keep at it. It is so worth it when you finally see those wonderful words <yourname> obtains Thief's Knife!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay just got my second knife tonight so now i'm like 2/45 lmao but anyway i spent many many many many many hours in that little room but it was worth it just traded my scond one for strider's boots and 10 mill probably could have gotten more but you know how its lol instant gratification i think they call it.

This knife rules all. One of the LS's I'm in on Gilgamesh got claim and drop last night. Lv.75 THF got it and is planning on using it next week sometime.
According to what we read on the net about it, Treasure Hunter +1 works on all levels of it. You get a bonus to TH1, TH2, and TH3. Each TH ability has 1 point toward it. Adding +1 to it makes each one 2 points, nearly doubling the effect. I've heard of people with this having ten or more relic armor pieces drop in Dynamis, and as many as four 100 piece ancient currency drops. It's a thing of beauty. I'm definitely going to go on Dynamis runs with that THF. Maybe make things a little easier for me to get Mjollnir. Well, that's my experience with it. Hope it helps.

This knife is almost a myth except there is no where to explain where ppl get them from except the stingy green psycho named sozu. i am 0/25 and my friend gfk is 0/100+.. -_-;; the walls of this room are starting to close in on me, i have had to practice meditation to escape the boundries of the moldy green room that has become my home... ;_; lately ive been unlucky i havent claimed this green ***hole for last 10 pops the sellers keep beating me to him... i use /targetnpc

Ok didnt really think this knife was worth it goes for like 30 million in cerebus. The linkshell im in does dynamis every sunday and wed <3 Nerfed!!. So a thf in our LS gets this knife like 2 days b4 dynamis he went 1/70 or something sick on this NM. /bow i'd given up. Normally we get 3-4 artifact 2's per dynamis he comes with this knife equipped in his 2nd hand and we went to dynamis bastok only bc another LS beat us to Beaudicine. we came out with 10 artifacts drops and 3 100 byne bills! 0.0 If ur a thf get this kife! at all cost
-.- i wish this were RARE/EX. how you can get such an awesome knife and just go and sell it is beyond me. probably cause the price is so damn high, but this helps LSs in dynamis and such. i want this thing but i aint paying for one.

I don't know what your problem is but for one thing TH does not make it worse it helps, and the reason your not getting drops is for 2 reasons: one you are a pld there for you have no TH, second this guy has a crazy rare drop with his knife and a lot of people go without it as 0/70+. If TH made it worse i wounder why i'd be 1/1 with TH2 and 2/12 TH3 (THF74/NIN37)
