If you are near capped PDIF, this scythe is better than Tredecim and marginally less powerful than Perdu Sickle. So, barring relic, this is the second best scythe when atk is capped.

just wondering how often does the effect go off on the fire damage?
Just got this Friday night, but just hit 74WAR last night and forgot to try it out. Wish it looked more like a demon slicer but the delay/damage looks awesome. Time for skill ups^^

It's called sarcasm. It's a drop off an HNM, of course it can't be desynthed.
IMO it's hard to tell sometimes whether ppl r kidding around or not when u can't c facial expressions.

i intimidated a Bird outside Jeuno with my DRK/BLM. it does give you the "Bird Killer" effect even if you dont naturally have it.

I can verify that equip that "strengthens the effect" of a certain trait will actually give you that effect. Genarals shield for example "strengthens beast killer effect"
Now lets look at what an effect does. As a PLD i notice undead killer effect alot when fighting undead mobs. The killer effect will intimidate an enemy. In which paralyzes it from time to time.
PLD has no beast killer job ability at all . BUT, when exping of catolopras in bibki bay I will from time to time intimidate them. SO this means that a peice of equip that strengthens an effect aslo gives that effect.
Also if just for one move on a GOD or HNM fight can be avoided I can see where this effect could be very usefull.

So Catoblebas are Beasts not Lizards? I guess that makes sense. They're giraffes basically. hmm. I thought they were lizards for some reason, like diosaurs. They kinda look like dinosaurs, but yeah they're more like giraffes. Oh well.

This items is hardly just good for bst.
It dosnt just "Enhance" birdkiller, it gives it to you... that and look at the delay ansd the damage on it.. not to mention the +accuracy.
This scythe is amazing, would be even better if it didnt look like a level 1 scythe ^^

Definitely not, +5 Acc is good for any melee and the DMG/Delay is killer.
