WoooT got my Exocets 2day right after maint.

I stumbled on him (literally) while cruising for a chest to cash in a key that dropped. Here's some data on him for y'all:

<pos> = J-10. PH is 3rd Brook Sahaigin past the silver door. All the fish were spawned except the 3rd Brook, which I thought he was until he attacked. So ..

Agro to 75.

Easy fight for 75 thf/nin, even with a whm fish added in. He's a monk, but either he didn't use Hundred Fists or I didn't notice it. This is normal for monk NMs v. THF, though -- they usually just fan the air. He has all the other fish moves, such as bubble armor, hydro shot, and spinning fin.

One caution: he has a TON of HP. I was able to attempt to steal from him twice. Normally even soloing a VT, it will die in under 5m. This one took about 8m to die. So, if you're of a level to get XP from him, my bet is this fight will be something of a marathon.

Just at a guess, I'd say level 60 could maybe solo it. Under that, I'd suggest bringing help.

While doing Utsusemi Ichi quest I killed this bad boy. Go through the door that requires the silver beast coin and follow the quest path til you have to drop down and go right, DO NOT DROP DOWN.

Turn around and go back to the previous intersection of caves and tunnels. He spawned in meeting point of the two tunnels when I killed him. I do not know the <pos> but that is the location I saw him.

Now as far as hidden effects we all know of the eat raw fish effect it has, but after parsing it vs adargas and Patas I am convinced it has an Increased Crit hit. Vs EP mobs patas and adargas hit for crit's 1/12 times yet Exocets hit for crits vs the same EP mobs 1/6. I do not want to start some unfounded rumor and have showed many people on ramuh server my findings inperson and they are astonished that this could very well have a +crit hidden effect. And +1 dex I doubt will have that much effect in crits. I hope this post helps someone out or atleast gives someone the idea to get them are try to see if it has the hidden effect for themself.

anyone on asura wanna come and join up with me to get these bad boys? I'm gonna try for them this saturday, gonna use my lvl 50 war, I think I'd need someone around 60, maybe 70.

Yay! I sent in the Fashion Shot just so everyone can see how pretty these really are. (not to mention my sexy librarian glasses >.>)^^

I soloed the NM easily as 62 Thf/nin, got a pair of links, but they went down easy. Qull himself hit me for around 2-10 damage per fist, and had a hit rate of about 10%. It still took around 15 minutes to kill him, he has quite a bit of HP.

I just got the Kote's and now im Gonna go and try and get these. Im lvl 45 like 300 away from 46 and I have a frined who is gonna come help me out lol. I want these till Tactian Magican

I just camped this NM today. the fight isn't terribly hard, and the NM dropped it on the second kill. First kill was at 7:30, then he spawned again at 11:00 after repeated slaughtering of the sahagin around him.

to get to his spawn, just keep taking all lefts through sea serpent grotto when you get in there. You will reach a spot with a door, keep clicking on it until you can see metal shavings. Trade it a beastcoin to open, then head up to the ledge. A little further in at J-10 is his spawn point. The WHM type sahagins are the biggest pain in the ass because of Dia II, blink, and all that. I find it easier to take down melee monsters than WHM. >_>

I don't remember him using hundred fists, but his attacks were so weak and missed so often that I didn't care either way. On the second kill he dropped the Exocets, and I ran out of there happily only to be greeted at the gate to norg by two dead lvl 30s, and a sahagin. I attack the sahagin, then out of nowhere about 20 more show up... dead. I only had 250 HP left when I ran in there. Moral of the story? Don't help n00bs.

Got them after camping Qull the Shellbuster for nearly 2 days RL time. Odd thing happened before I got these though, my WHM friend was looking around for a chest since he knew the chest locs and he said he found 2 other NMs (The mermaid ring quest one and a random one). I proceeded to kill both and in the end I had gained a Mermaid's Tail, Exocets (w00t!), and Frog Trousers (I almost fell over when I saw {Frog Trousers} in the translator). Overall, persistence/patience is needed to get these ^^

The item description has them as a solid blue, but the in-game model is a bit different. They look like normal claws, but the sharp part of the blade is a dark blue, lined with gold.

i saw a level 75 thief with these on the other day. they are blue claws. :)
