I think shurikens like these are used for when you get the last ninja skill through merit like sange when you use shadows like shurikens. The base damage is probably calculated using the shurikens you currently have equiped. So all you would need would be one of those Shurikens and just switch it out for sange. But if you think about it 12 shurikens is really more than it looks with sange. If you have 3 shadows up use sange and bring up 3 shadows that is 6 shurikens for the price of 2.

I believe the point is when all other devices are used..
1. Voke & or Warcry timer not up
2. Ni spells may not be enough to grab hate
3. Not enough TP for WS
4. Mob has run off to that damn BLM overnuking again >.<
And the drops needed for that NM are in the hands of the NIN holding hate!!!! THEN you throw one of these {Bio}tches to get that hate back. Maybe? Who knows...just a thought.
And I'm pretty sure Throwing is A+ with Ninja... Please correct me if wrong.

Hehe, been having a look at these since I recently dinged 60. I usually have a stack of juji's or manji's in case I need to grab quick hate and for capping purposes.
Doing a quick calculation based on server's current prices, tossing about 30 of these would be the equivalent of throwing your bomb core gil-wise. Imagine chucking that bad boy about 3x per exp session, lol.
That being said, I definitely have to get a few stacks of these just to play with one session. The damage looks juicy.

What is the point to making these so damn expensive, NIN has A+ throwing, yet it is totally impracticle to throw these, id say it would be roughly 35k per shruken (literally throwing your gil away)

what's the difference in points of dmg between these and manji shurikens on IT mobs?

no these definately stack to only 12. it may seem crazy but its true ~_~

Actually, I'm pretty sure these ARE yield 3. They stack to 12 I think.
Yeah, you won't be spamming Fumas anytime soon, sorry. Hey, at least they aren't Rare like Nokizaru Shuriken :)

You know, this reward for good deeds thing just doesn't work for humanity... shouldn't a "good" deed not be followed up by a reward?

Does this requires Level 85 Smithing when it uses Gold Ingots and Mythril, which are used in Goldsmithing? Just wondering.

All of the other shuriken are Smithing, it would be a big bummer if you couldn't craft the best shuriken with Smithing.
