Ok: I am a crafter and that being said, I do understand the basic idea of HQ synthesis. However, my main craft is cooking, and that doesn't have to many "HQ2's" and "HQ3's" in it at all. :P Provided that this particular item (Hi-ether) caps at 69, does this mean that you would basically have to be level 100 with full alchemy gear on to produce the HQ3 version of it? With cooking, it seemed that I needed to be about 30 levels above cap to produce a decent amount of HQ items at a consistent rate. I have started Woodworking and Alchemy and those 2 particular crafts I have HQ'd items that were above my cap. ><! I'm confused, and if there are any Alchemists out there that are consistently making Hi-ether +3's please reply to this post and lemme know the details. Thanks very much in advance.

It is not possible to "consistantly" make HQ3. All recipes in all crafts have HQ3, just most of the time HQ3 is the exact same as HQ1. There is no animation difference, and when you get an HQ synth, there is a probability whether you will get 1, 2, or 3 depending on how much higher you are than the recipe. However, no matter how high you are, HQ1 is always most common.
