Mermaid Head  

Alright so a fair while back I decided to go through with getting all of these items together after the feet dropped skilling up club near the norg zone in yuhtunga jungle with my gf (40-somethin whm and blm). It all went pretty smoothly... cept this blasted head.
I swear I spend 50+ hours total in SSG trying to get this head, getting help from all sorts of people, and no sight of the head. Only near the end of a run, late into the morning, i declare 'this one is the last one and we're going' and it drops -_-;

So I came back there yesterday to help a friend farm elshimo newts so he could get some goblin drinks brewed to fight the NM in oldton movalpolas. We start killing the sahagins and get 3 heads in 10 minutes >.< WTF.

Anyway, I recommend not starting this quest unless you get the head first, it seems to be the most troublesome piece and the other pieces will clog up your inventory space if it takes you 5 months to complete (like me).

ok im really anoid...what is this for..i got the dam thing while i was farming for my blackened toad...several others have asked and no one has answered!!!!! Please explain what quest Mermaid head is for!!!!!

where do i start this quest at all i see is a lot of complaining lol i want to complain too >.>

This is the HARDEST mermaid part to get.... i have done this quest like twice b4 and not gotten the ring either times... just killin them while i'm waiting on a pt invite ; ;

/sigh why cant i find something better to do while lfg, these fish ppl are starting to vex me greatly, they are always linking and that makes me mad! /angry

im 3/3 on mermaid ring quest, this is the piece that takes time. im 61 thf and can get the other pieces very easily, the NM probly being the easiest(nobody camps it, and its 100%)

this piece has taken many many hours the first and third times ive collected mermaid pieces. the second time it dropped while i was soloing 1500 exp to ding 61..so i then went and got the other pieces pretty quick.

To any who have doubts that Brook Sahagin drop the Mermaid Head, they do. the ones behind silver door and past silver door all drop it. ive checked probably 4 times on forums the first time i was attempting to get it, because it took so long i never believed anyone until i saw it hehe.

It really is a rare drop. ~_~;; I got the Body while camping the Holy Ampulla NM, so I decided to try for the rest of the pieces. Hands dropped pretty quick, and the Tail dropped the first time I killed the NM, but I've killed a ton of Brooks and no Head. I've gotten 2 pearls, over a stack of stolen Mythril Beastcoins, about a billion seashells, a Sheep Leather Missive, 2 Eastern Gems, a Shall Shell, 2 Elshimo Toads, several Elshimo Newts, a Blackened Toad, 3 Grotto Chest Keys, but no freaking Mermaid Head!! >_<;;

What the heck is this thing for?? What quest and where and how do you get the quest!!??

Got myself one of them after about killing ~40 Sahagins or so. No sign of what to do with it though. Easy to pick it up by leveling BST from 43-45 on the sahagins and bigclaws.
