At first glance it doesn't look *that* good, but if you're one of those guys that solo's the Avatars a lot, you can beat Titan and get the Earth Belt, and it will help you beat Ramuh. Get that belt and you can beat Leviathen, etc.
A few of them will also prove good if you're a tank for Tiamat/Jorm(one of those that loads up on +resist) or if you're just fighting worms or something and want some +earth resist.

Does this, and the the other equipment you can recieve from the Avatar battles reduce the MP/tick cost for their respective Avatar?
(I.E. would the Earth Belt reduce the cost of having titan out?)

Sadly no. Plus I think SMNs have enough reasons to beat the Prime Avatars already anyway :p
