I've been trying to figure out when I should sell this thing and get something else, but it looks like I'll be keeping it until AT LEAST lvl 30. Seeing as I'm a Samurai, a few more points of def. isn't worth sacreficing the DEX bonus.
Talk about a great piece of body equipment! There isn't anything you can buy (with the possible exception of a Power Gi) until level 30 that can match this.

I just bought one of these at the AH in Bastok. Only 10,000 gil! (Which is good, cause I plan to use it till 18) And yeah, the DEX addition is a very nice extra. (Especially since all the jobs that equip livve of DEX) Well, if you are leveling a low level far-eastern job. Get this peice of armor.
There isn't a whole bunch of stuff this low level that gives bonuses to stats. Plus for the classes that can equip it, DEX is a key element (especially for Samurai) to playing well in the game.
