#REDACTED, Posted: Jul 29 2005 at 4:02 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Mithkabobs and Chiefkabobs will cap your attack, due to their lower lvl of cooking, I would have to assume that the Dragon Soup will not have a cap or have a much higher cap than the kabobs. I will do some research and get back with the exact numbers, I would love to try and figure it out, but sadly can never find them for sale ><;
Attack +22%?

I've seen different stats on this on other sites, namely that it gives 22% boost to attack that caps at 150. Could someone verify this? If its true this would make dragon soup second to only Red Curry at the higher levels, I mean kabobs are great but they cap at 65 attack with the chiefs, so at about lvl55 you maxed what you're gonna be getting with them. The price tag is a factor too but if u have access to them more power to you.

Cheif Kabobs are much better. Not very good for tanks or damage dealers but what you're paying for is the Demon Killer effect. Which is damn tempting if you don't have a SAM in your pt.
where?

Where can I get these? They are nowhere to be found on AH, checked windy and jeuno AH and they are not even listed there.

I sounds like an awsome food ^

Its a level 98 cap cooking item. So the reason why you cant see it on the AH is probably that nobody is making it. Unfortunately this is one of those items that is very high level and expensive to make but it worse than lower level food as far as untility. Its pretty much staight-up worse than meat mithkabobs as damage dealer food (onyl has +1 str over miths and is a lot less bonus to attack), and as tank food it sucks too as +2 vit is less than crabs or fishkabobs (and the +20 HP and HP while resting is more or less worthless since any balanced party is going to have a healer anyways and by the time you could afford this anyways the WHM should be holdign regen II on you which will heal HP way faster and without the need to rest.

The other problem is the price and availabilty of the materials. I estimate about 600 gil or so on my server for the materials excluding the dragon meat (about the same cost per time as miths which are 200 or so for 30 minutes). I looked at trying to cook this for skillups (Im stuck at 95) and the Dragon Meat had never realyl been even sold in the Jeuno AH (one guy had sold it to himself for 1,000,000 but that hardly matters). I can forget about taking on the dragons for the meat as well, since im only level 50. So it would be extremely tough to make this, you need to be very high level to get the meat (im assuming even if theres a server where this is bought and sold on AH it would be a minimum of multiple k's since its so hard to get) and you need to have extremely high level cooking to synth it. Totally not worth the efoort of doing when nobody's going to buy it cause the miths are better for most cases anyways.

I bought 2 dragon meats on Midgardsormr for 100k each to make a dragon soup and dragon steak for my bazaar, I successfully made both at level 93 cooking, no skillups. Only around 5-8 have been sold in Jeuno AH.

Dragon steak is listed in Jeuno AH, but the soup isn't. I'd put it on AH but it would get rid of the signature.

Mithkabobs only last 30 mins, so you would have to eat three to last as long as this food, and attack + 9% is pretty good, this is far better then mithkabobs, it's just that damn meat

You really shouldn't spend too much time looking at duration. Just worry about the stats. Cheif kabobs last an hour, by the way, and they blow dragon soup out of the water.

Quick FYI, people. Supposedly (not sure if this is true) it has amazing effects exclusive to those who have the opo-opo crown. I was told this information by a cook on my server, JP lvl 99.2 cooking.
