I prefer to use this over my Demon's Helm +1 in certain situations. Don't diss the highest Elemental Magic Skill+ headpiece in the game! (not to mention it looks really neat on taru ^-^)

Got this sucker during our Dynamis-Xarcabard run. won lot out of 3 blms. it dropped off a non-blm kindred demon. not even a NM one. and yea elemental magic is what all end game/ HNM blms want thats what makes this very important piece of equip. i was MB fafnir for 1400+ which is my all time best on it. ill be meriting my elemental magic even more to make this hat even more effective.

Lurtz is in my dynamis LS (REDAII/Hyubelion). He has the RDM AF2 hat also which hopefully I will get in the next couple of weeks. ; ; The BLM hat is actually a fairly common drop in Dynamis Xarcabard. It has dropped every single run I have been on and twice on one run (I've been on 6 Dynamis-Xarcabard runs.) The hard part is getting access there and getting past the first wave of NM so you can farm AF.

BTW...Dynamis Lord is a waste of time to beat IMO. Once you've done it once, you never want to do it again. The LS I go with only farms for AF and the fragments for final relic weapon upgrades now since they beat him twice.

how is this hat better then the BLM AF1? the wizards patasos adds 4 INT and decrease enmity by 4. This hat doesnt add any INT and is only -2 enmity. I could careless about enfeabling, and i would take -4 enmity and +4 INT over +10 elemential any day. oh and i almost forgot the wizards hat adds more MP too. someone please explain to me how this hat is better then the AF1?

Yeah, when you fight gods or any high level HNM that is above lv80, you will really want to have all the +elemental magic you can get. Otherwise, you are just wasting your mp on nukes that will get 90% resists.

Elemental Magic Skill +10 is what we're after from this item. If you didnt know most BLM equipment for end-game kills will require a serious boost to Elemental Magic, and the only other good BLM hat to give this is Elite Beret (and +1). This gives a +4/+5 bonus, and is why we pay something around a million gil for the +1 version. The AF2 hat gives +10, and it's free. Need i say more? ^^

Indeed, +10 Elemental skill at 75 makes your nukes resist as if you were a level 77Blm. +4 int makes you nuke as if you are a lv 75 Blm with about + 12-21 more damage

More elemental = Less resists
More int = Minor damage incease minor resist decrease

To get this, you must first win (get the item) from the four major cities' Dynamises: Bastok, San d'Oria, Jeuno, and Windurst. That lets you into Dynamis Beaucedine, which you must also win to enter Dynamis Xarcabard, where this item is dropped.
