I got this drop last night in Dynamis-Windurst, and it said (Sword) I swear it... But I saw another drop and while it was in treasure it said Rdm/Pld - so when I got back to my moghouse... Looked again and mine was different.. It was the (Great Sword)... -.-. So my first posting was incorrect... Anyways - now I'm bummed... I don't understand why warrior isn't included on this... Or on the regular axe.... Great Sword -.- my skills are at the lvl 20 for that weapon.... Although with how much gil it costs to upgrade any relic weapon so if I'm doing any it'll be the great axe....

So we got a person who is bring Gilsellers into Dynamis on Cait sith named Ryudo. They are trying to sell currency for 50k per single unit and 5mil per 100 unit. Well I guess Relic weapons will become harder to get if you plan on buying currency from these FOOLS.

Dynamis weapons are so horrible to upgrade. I honestly don't know if it's worth the trouble to do so anymore. I have the first upgrade done so far and am part way into the second...but these things are horribly expensive to upgrade for as crappy as they are before the final stage. Not to mention, I have been to 7 Dynamis Beaucedine and 4 Dynamis Xarcabard and have yet to see an attestation or holy fragment drop AT ALL. IF one drops, you end up having to outlot the rest of your dynamis shell for it. So good luck there.
The dynamis currency alone upgrading these things are ridiculous...

OK. FINALLY seen attestation drop. Not for sword though. We did Dynamis Beaucedine and we got 2 attestation drops. Attestation of Celerity (dagger) and Attestation of Bravery (axe). It is VERY difficult to get the NM to pop for the attestation. We killed one with 10 min left with all time ext and the other with about 5 min. left. The axe one did not drop to the person that lotted because time ran out, ppl were dead and could not pass. That was sad.
The NM pop near the tower were Nue is found in the regular area of Beaucedine Glacier. It's difficult to get the time ext and to get the NM to pop for these but we finally did it. We had to split our LS in two groups and send one for time ext. and one for killing the hydras. It's the only way we could figure out how to do it. Good luck to anyone else that does this.

This doesnt drop all that often. Iono if we did windy on a bad moon phase or w/e, but out of 3 total dynamis-windurst runs, this dropped twice. Relic daggers and knuckles however, were dropping like rain.

Relic weapons drop fairly often, matter of fact to often ><. But yes this will take you numerous dynamis raids in order to get enough money to start purchasing even the first phase and even longer for the second. As for the materials for the first two stages you should be able to get in the non dynamis world, there generally one very expensivve, one still expensive - not so expensive and one cheap in the first two stages, stage one involving materials, stage two involving other cousins of the weapon. Stage three (forth sword) requires you to get an attestation from dynamis, similar to a testimate for your g5, every weapon has one, as for the sword its the glory one, and bottom line, attestation drops are excessivly rare, then there is one more stage which involves usuallly getting another rare drop from dynamis then traveling to a very deep and dangerous dungeon and trade it in to obtain the final and ultimate form. So if your ever doing dynamis, please please please do your research, also I have a very stron suspension the goblin mentioned can walk you through the entire process of the weapon you are trying to upgrade.

Can someone please tell me if the "Relic" weapon are EX because i have some memory of seeing a Relic Dagger an the AH. But that may have just been a Ceremonial Dagger i can't remember either way i remember it being very cheap it was awhile ago. thanks

I plan on trying like all the other paladins and redmages on midgarsormr to get this. If I am currect NO ONE on our sever has made this sword get to its final stage. Or any other sever for that matter. And probally only 3 ppl have the relic sword on midgarsormr. So, yeah I'm going to try my hardest to get this and I hope you guys will too.

apparantly you have no idea what the point of the relic weapons are...
you can upgrade them to become the most powerful weapons (currently) in the game. this process has alot to do with Dynamis

This sword can eventually become Excaliber...currently the most powerful one-handed sword in the game. You have to "charge" the weapon somehow. I'm not really all sure how it works, but here's a site with all the Dynamis weapons and what they can eventually become:

Dio, you are very accurate on the first and second stages, but I think you're supposed to take the Holy Fragment TO a pond in Dragon's Aery... I noticed that there are map coordinates beside the Dragon's Aery, I'm not sure there is a pond in Dragon's Aery, since I'm only 40 PLD... I do hope to find out how to get the third phase someday... BTW Dio, rate up, that was an ingenius post you made for us. ^^

Thanks for the link Super...and I think the way one can change the Relic Sword thru to it's 4th lvl (Excaliber) is by going to an NPC named Switchtix). I spent about 20 mins reading the chart got from link u gave and maybe it works like this...
Take the Relic Sword with Koh-I-Noor, Orichalcum Chain, Cermet Chunk and M. Silverpiece x4 to Castle Zvahl and trade it to Switchtix. He then converts it to Glyptic sword for u.
Then 1 RL week later, go back to him with Bronze Sword, Mythril Sword, Wing Sword (maybe all 3 or only 1 of the three, dunno) plus 14 of the Byne Bill 100. He'll make it into Dynamis sword.
The 3rd stage is unclear but it does mention "Attestation of Glory"...and the last lvl to make it into an Excaliber says something about giving Switchtix Holy Fragment @ and a Dragons Aery : Pond.

yes and the item u need to charge it is very difficult to find, I am talking about fighting king behemot to get it to drop.

I spoke with my highest lvl friend (one of the first to lvl 75 in NA). He has gotten halfway thru the second phase of the dagger, and believes he is the only NA player to have made it that far. From what he says it takes about 100 raids in Dynamis to get enough of the ancient money, and items, necessary to get these weapons to their final phase. I (and he) believe that there are 5 phases based on info from mysterytour and a few other sites, which arent documented/translated very well. Apparently you get to do the final/special weaponskills in the 4th phase, however it is limited to Dynamis until the 5th phase. It appears this is one of the many things geared toward high level (65-75) players. I wonder what other mysterious quests/items Vana'diel holds.
