hmm. i can see why int is a modifier, but i wonder why agi is.
ive also seen a trend in this having str decrease ws and other random modifiers enhance it.
i was thinkin maybe the relic armor has something to do with enhancing ws maybe, just a thought

Is the ability to ignore shadows specific to Apocalypse? I've seen Spharai in action plenty of times and (though I'm not 100% certain) I'm pretty sure it doesn't go through blinks. Another thing is the 3x modifier doesn't proc on Spharai nearly as often as 1/6 I don't think, probably closer to 1/10 or higher. Maybe it's related to delay?

I have also heard that Catastrophe grants haste dependent on TP, by the way (Spharai gives enhanced Subtle Blow). Not sure if the 3x can proc on weapon skills, since the damage on asuran fists can vary quite a bit depending on crits. The most I think I've seen it do was around 1600 in KRT, which I guess could be a few crits or a single 3x shot. Hard to say for sure.

Using strong weapons against Too Weak mobs isn't a very good judge of their power. Part of the weapons' strengths are the hidden add effects, like the crit rate, the triple damage hits, and the fact that the new WS can follow a lv 3 skillchain to produce a second lv 3 skillchain.

The other thing is that you can cap out your weapon effectiveness pretty fast against TW mobs. The real test is how much you can slug mobs like Kirin for.

As an example, look at something like a Thf/Nin and a Drk/Thf against TW mobs and against high-level NM. Against the TW mobs, the Thf's fast attacks will grossly outdamage the Drk's attacks because it's very easy to hit max damage on the TW. Against high-level NM, though, the Thf will be lucky to do nonzero damage, wheras the Drk should have no trouble hitting for reasonable damage.

I see this a lot in my static with Thf and Rng. If we're fighting weaker mobs (mid VT), my damage parses way higher because my hits do respectable damage, my WS do very high damage, and I have mad TP gain. Against really tough mobs (stuff 15 levels higher than us and NMs), my accuracy and damage drop gives the ranger a serious upper hand.
