I don't think any of you understand........at 300% TP this deals a 19 FOLD attack. Gungir is nice but unless it can do Metatron Torment (which I know for a fact it can't) it's nothing in comparison. Don't get me wrong Gungir is a nice weapon but it can't hold a candle to this one.
Ok first of all, it doesn't deal a 19 fold attack at anytime. So your one point of arguement, is for nothing. If you had to compare it, this has one less damage, the gungnir should therefore outdamage it, but this has a doubled attack about once every 15minutes in an exp pt, so their pretty even. However, this lowers evasion, you should hit more, but at 75 you usually exp on mobs that arent too hard to hit in the first place and it gives +20acc anyway so.... Gungnir gives DEF down, you will hit for more, it also has the +20acc, so the damage will be pretty close over time compared with Bravura, but you will likely do more with Gungnir. My last point is WSs. DEF down or EVA down to boost a WS? As anyone would I'm sure say(except for huge multihit WSs) DEF down is better, you will flat out do more dmg with def down than eva down. I also don't know the hidden effect on Gungnir but I hear it's a boosted attack, much like Bravura, so at least in my point of view, Gungnir is superior.
One can ONLY be used by Dragoons, the other can ONLY be used by Warriors. There is NO REASON, that I can see, correct me if I'm wrong, TO COMPARE THE TWO. <(o O<) Geez!
It's like comparing Steaks and Oranges! "I like the Orange because it's a citrus fruit and citrus fruit are just awesome!" "I like steaks because of thier meaty goodness!"
Um... Okay? That's nice... but Why compare the two? It's not like a WAR can sit there and say, "Hmm... the Gungnir has an extra attack point and a cool WS... but the Bravura has a 19 fold attack... but I think tritens are cool, so I want to go for the Gungnir. Even though it's Dragoon-only and I can't USE it." ... Um, Hello?
Okay. This is a nice WAR-ONLY great axe. And the Gungnir is a nice DRG-ONLY polearm. But the big choise isn't between which weapon you want... it's more along the lines of "what JOB do you want to be?" and we all know everyone has thier own opinion on that.
Let's try thinking with our brains a little sometimes, mm'kay?
Just wanted to post some information regarding acquiring this axe, using this link as reference: http://ff11.s33.xrea.com/dynamis/index.shtml
Relic Bhuj --> Agonal Bhuj Wootz Ingot Damascus Ingot Ancient Lumber 3x100 Byne Bill Commision (3x100 Byne Bills = 300 Byne Bills) have to wait til next Vana'diel day to receive axe
Agonal Bhuj --> Dynamis Bhuj Butterfly Axe Great Axe Heavy Darksteel Axe 16xL.Whiteshells Commision (16 L.Whiteshells = 1600 T.Whiteshells) have to wait 1 real life week to receive axe
Dynamis Bhuj --> Abaddon Killer Attestation of Force, Rare?/Ex? item dropped off NM Quiebitiel in Dynamis- Beaucedine, spawns in/at/near the tower at (I-7) after the Vanguard Eye(s) are killed 61xM.Silverpieces Commision (61 M.Silverpices = 6100 O.Silverpieces) have to wait 2 real life weeks to receive axe? unsure about the wait
Abaddon Killer --> Bravura this upgrade seems to have the least information Seraphic Fragment rare?/ex?/key item? If you follow the Dynamis - Xarcabard link I provided and look at the map, at the (I-6)(I-7) border, great axe is starred, not to mention a whole bunch of other weapons are starred as well on the map, and it looks like these stars represent NMs for their respective weapon. Rumors include, first off, need to have Adaddon Killer Equipped before entering Dynamis-Xarcabard and will get a cutscene regarding getting the fragment/Bravura. Also heard that you must kill the Dynamis Lord before you are able to get the fragment. Eventually, you trade the Abaddon Killer to the fountain in Ru'Lude Gardens to finally get Bravura. Unsure as well if you have to wait a certain period or time or not to receive the Bravura. Not even sure if there is some sort of commision involved.
Good luck in trying to get the Bravura. It's gonna take a lot of time and gil and patience. Need a total of 8000 single denomination Dynamis currency for commision, and this is if there is no commision for the final upgrade. On an average Dynamis run, you get about 5, so that means it would take 1600 Dynamis runs, assuming you dont buy any. And you can do Dynamis only once every three RL days, which also slows down the process. And if you do buy them, players bazaar these on average for 5k gil each, so that would amount to 40 million gil. If you are lucky, you can get 100 denomination Dynamis currency, but these are extremely rare drops and doubt you will be able to lot on them if others know you already have some. Another option is you can sponsor your own Dyanmis runs and pay the 1mil gil cost yourself and have all Dynamis currency given to you. And again referencing the link i provided, it seems either dynamis currency in a 10,000 denomination or 10,000 in Dynamis currency can drop if certain actions are performed. This would make things really, really easier.

How do you figure? Your most likely fighting gods or other HNM's with these types of weapons. The Gungnir, has more Damage than this axe... a little more delay and can lower defense. With lower defense you will do more dmg. So I put oney on th drg doing more.
ok lots of ppl been sayin that gungnir is just as good as bravura but it impairs def.....let me ask you this does gungnir give you the ability to use a beyond holy ws in all areas? i may not i still might be a noob but this weapon is godly /em dies from a heart attack at the sight of this weapon X.X at least i died happy

Almost identical stats for the two. gungir does 1 more dmg, has 4 more delay, and impairs defense. I give the nod to the lance for being slightly better. I would sell my soul for either though.

This would be great if it didn't require absurd amounts of ancient currency, like all the other upgraded relic weapons. Maybe if my server wasn't full of drama queens, someone would be able to upgrade >.>
