They have, there are a whole host of new "Mighty" weapons. Offhand, I know that Mighty Pole is:
Lv. 72 Windsday: Wind+15 Elemental Magic+13 Divine Magic+13.

Mighty set is dropped from the ucapped garrison in the Vollbow. http://mysterytour.web.infoseek.co.jp/ffxi/us/tips/garrison/garrison.htm
I think they should make more types of these weapons. I.E. added dmg on a certain day.
