You can use this food to fight Maat with. All stats +7 would give you a little bit of an edge especially with Melee.

Why not get sanction and spend 100 points to increase food duration, then this will last 8 hours!!
As soon as I get my hands on some cursed soup, thats what I'm going to do :)

Actually the abjuration drops every time on BCNM 60 named celery myself on Sam/war, a LS friend as Whm, and another as Rng did the BCNM 3 times in a row, and got the abjuration every time.

You can't buy this, as it is. Note that it is ex. This is obtained by getting an oblation abjuration (which drops from BCNMs and certain Tu'Lia NMs, and using it to puify Cursed Soup (which you can buy; cooks make this to skillup the last level or so because it gives skillups to 100). To purify it (or any other cursed item), you need to trade the abjuration and the cursed item to an NPC in the San d'Orian cathedral who talks about uncursing things (don't know the name off the top of my head; sorry). So basically, good luck trying to use these on a regular basis. :P

i used ambrosia today (and still food effect on).

it's been more than 3 hours since i've eaten it.

i think thats why the new BCNM drop the abj... because they changed the status effect duration.

I usually level from 1-5 on stone eaters in Gustaberg. Mithkabobs will do the trick even fighting VT, but yeah ambrosia would make you even more <incredibly tough>, except for that horrible moment when you get an unwanted link and lose your food effect! ><

Actually, I just use mithkabobs to lvl from 1-10. I've found it's easiest for me in Gustaberg to pick on rock eaters for a while as you can take them on even as vt and win most of the time til lvl 5. So the ambrosia would make you even more <Incredibly Tough>, but how much would that suck if you accidentally died? ><

As a level 5 DRK/WAR, I took on an IT yag in giddeus and won with life to spare on mithkabobs. not that it was really necessary, as leveling up 1-10 isn't too difficult. This food would probably rock socks even more so.

You guys rated me down repeatedly for saying hi to someone I saw in the game often and recognised here in the forums? If you didn't...then great...hope to see you around sometime. If you did....well I guess that kind of behaviour speaks for itself doesn't it? Nothing I could say would be a more damning statement of your own inadequacy. Rock on losers!!! Make that a large fry by the way.

If you click on the little recycling arrow button at the top of a particular comment, you can reply to that specific comment without having yours appear at the top of the whole page and shoving everyone else's down. I think it's likely you were rated down for posting off-topic comments at the top of the page. Don't forget you can also send messages to individual users as well without the whole forum seeing it.

Thanks for the advice Pergatory. Sorry all. I still don't see how that warrants a rate down, but I'll be more careful in the future. Thanks again for the helpful reply.

the icon has changed to a notecard w/ a red arrow on it. it appears right after the subject. you can also click on the subject.
i dont think saying hi to your friend or not using the reply function really deserves a rate down, but ranting about rate downs does. that's just lame. who cares? do you get a cookie if you get a good rating or something? and what kind of cookie? is it chocolate chip? i hope so. i love chocolate chip. did u hear how cookie monster is going to eat healthier cuz there's too many damn fat kids in the world (or maybe just the United States)? yeah, there's not too many fat kids in ethopia.

oblation abjuration
# Aug 13 2004 at 3:50 PM Rating: Decent
the abjuration drops off of most of the NM you need to kill for items to spawn kirin in Tu'Lia.. so if your LS is doing god runs you'll probably see this drop... if you're not level 75, and in one of the top LS on your server, good luck =P.

Actually, it drops off NMs you need to kill for items to spawn Gods you need to kill to spawn Kirin in Tu'Lia. =P

My LS has gotten a few of these abjurations.. the people that won the lots: me (whm67), a whm71, and a thf69. You don't have to be 75 to get them ;)

RE: Hmm
# Aug 13 2005 at 6:34 PM Rating: Excellent
For what it's worth, when I made that post, it DID last 30 minutes. When I made the post, no food lasted longer than 60 minutes (errr, well, there may have been 1 or 2 90 minute foods).

Anyway, it wasn't until the Dec. 9, 2004 patch that Square-Enix came to their senses and realized that 30 minutes for this food was absolutely rediculous.

Ultimate food of the game right here. The name sure is perfect for what it does since ambrosia is "fit for the gods".
#Anonymous, Posted: Aug 11 2004 at 4:25 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This would be the ultimate food in the game, if it gave attack and defense bonuses.

ultimate mage food. these stats dont equal the percentage bonus from mithkabobs.
RE: Ambrosia
# Oct 18 2004 at 11:06 PM Rating: Decent
Mithkabobs don't match this food's DEX and AGI bonuses.

Oohhhhhh It's not rare?
RE: :)
# Aug 12 2004 at 9:59 AM Rating: Excellent
It is Exclusive (non-tradable), but not Rare, so you can carry more than one at a time. The Oblation Abjuration required to uncurse the soup is also Exclusive but not Rare.
