ive tryed to get this one cause i dnt have warp but how do u get the treat staff, prolly rare?
I received all 4 treat/trick staves by trading cookies over and over. I also got 4 pumpkin hats in the process.
I'm curious as to why you can store every holloween staff and item except this one. Since it's been out for three years now, I don't think it's an oversight. Probably something to do with the fact that when you give an itme to the NPC it's deleted and when you pay to remove it it creates a new one for you, so you'd be able to get the charges back or something. That's all I can think of.
I wish they changed a flag to remember how many charages you have left and let you store it, I'm getting tired of holding on to it all year.

So far i started with doing the quest for the Coven Hat along with my friends.
While wearing the Coven Hat i traded-in sweets to different NPCs (merchants in custome) and got so far: Trick Staff, Treat Staff, Pumpkin Head, & Pumpkin Head II.
Got 1 item on a different Vana'Diel day.
But its been 2 Vana'Diel days of trade-ing candies and cookies to some NPCs including the Trick Skeletons roaming around and they wont give me the Trick_Staff_II /cry
Still trying to get the Trick Staff II and Treat Staff II
Friend just told me to wait for the next game day and try again, since he got them all that way with no prob, but has no idea why NPC wont give it to me :\
(Im Mythra from Windurst doing the quest in Bastok, dont think is a problem but just giving info).
Like how much more sweets IS needed to trade-in to get this item? traded so far 20 candies to different NPCs O_o;;
Any sugestion will be great :3 I want those items with WARP in it!!! Please Help!

I've received 2 of from the same NPC in Windurst Waters Ensasa (H-9). Maybe I got lucky but it's worth a try. It was by trading either garlic or spicy crackers. I don't remember...

I've had this thing for like a year now. I've also used it after the halloween event, so that answers that question. Lastly, i have never found anyway to recharge this item. I'm afraid to trash it at this point, stil hoping sum1 will discover a way.

Look, I been getting /tells all day saying wtf is up. Bastically, I don't know if its true, and I didn't not try it myself. But this is what I think:
Since Enchantment Items that has 1 out of 1 charge can regenerate itself, why can't Enchantment Items that has 10 out of 10 charges regenerate?

you can reecharge some items using alchemy, but i doubt if this is one of them. vulcan sword i think is one of them, i could be wrong. . . 1/1 items auto recharge, any thing else does not
You're wrong, plain and simple. I have tested it. Items with only 1 charge recharge automatically, but like zelrin said, there would be no reason to make any item have more than 1 charge if it recharged when it hit zero.

Well,. I got it, and I get it,. but it still hasn't re-charged one bit in the 3 weeks it's been on me. It's at 0/10 and no timers ever move anymore. Whatever you might think about this item, it only has 10 charges and so far that I have found, CAN NOT BE RE-CHARGED.

so....during halloween next year....all the uses refresh?.....can any1 veryfiy this?.....and does the same thing apply to the treat staff, dream hat+1, and anything else like this?

on halloween i bought 3 oranges just for sh*ts and giggles. I didnt care if i got the items or not. First try i got Pumpkin Head II. Than i put that on and got Horror Head II next try. I was freakin out. But i never got any staffs and i was trying for about 20 mins for em later on.

They don't recharge next halloween. You pulled that out of your corn-hole. They *MAY* hand out new staves next halloween, but they will not re-charge them. Charged items NEVER recharge. Go grab yourself a [Warp Cudgel.

I've already used mine once and I was just wondering what happens after I use the rest of them up. Is there any way to get the warps back or will the staff become useless?

It's a bit late, but I'm hoping this info can still help some. I finally figured out what I was doing wrong trying to get my items. You must equip, or not equip the items your given to get more. If you want Pumpkinhead I or II, or Trick staff I or II make sure you have no halloween gear equipped in your head or weapon slots. If you're wearing Pumpkinhead II, you will never recieve the first one. Instead you'll be given Horror Head II. What you want to wear is as follows...
To get:
Treat staff, wear the trick staff
Treat staff II, wear Trick staff II
Horror Head, wear Pumpkinhead
Horror Head II, wear Pumpkinhead II
____
Trick Staff - wear non halloween weapon or nothing
Trick Staff II - non halloween weapon/nothing
Pumpkinhead - non Halloween hat/nothing
Pumpkinhead II - non Halloween hat/nothing
Of course if you have the hat you want, but are still stuck on staves, you can equip either the Horror Head or Horror Head 2. They should stop giving you hats at that point, and only pass out Lanterns or staves. Same should work the other way, wear a Treat I or II staff and only get hats and lanterns.
It still takes some time to get them items knowing this, but it should work for everyone. I wasted 200k + trying to figure out my mistake on my main, and have gotten the items for at least 5 alts for less than 50k since figuring it out. I hope it's not too late for ppl to get this info and find their Halloween gear. Good luck to all~! ^-^

15k in Oranges i got the remaining 4 items i needed. (YAY ME 8/8) If some say that this isn't the only way it is done, then i would say it's still by far the fastest!
Also, i would like to add my findings. The last few items i collected were done by standing at 1 NPC till it paid off, even a "Jack-o-lantern". Soon as i got anything, i would move to another NPC that gave me a different costume. Before i made full circle of all costumes, i would obtain a rare/ex item.
Not saying only Yag costume NPCs give "Treat Staff II", but soon as NPC that give you a Yag costume pays off, dont do Yag costume again till you get one of your rare/ex items.
Anyways, helps pass time trading all those oranges if you have a plan. About 3 hours and 30k investment isn't to bad for 8 rare/ex's.

The way I understand it and other enchanted equipment, you must equip it and then go to inventory, then "use" it. The name will be bright blue in the inventory list.
I believe it be equipped for 0:30s before you can use warp, and it takes 24hours for it to recharge one point. Not sure if this is right, I got my staff this morning and haven't had the chance to try it out yet :) For the record, I got it after trading one orange to a bones NPC in wind waters near the saruta gate, then one more to the regional vendor dressed up as a doppleganger nearby. Yes I know, I'm lucky ^^ Good luck!
edit: In order to recharge, I think it must be equipped for the set time... so, equip the staff and bazaar overnight or something to pass the time ;)

There has to be a way to recharge it once the 10 charges are gone since the item can be traded to an NPC even though it's Rare/Ex. Maybe there's a NPC somewhere that gives you a quest to recharge those items? You know, kinda like the one for Lu Shang Fishing Rod.
i just really want to know if my treat staff II will work after halloween, bc if so i'm the happiest person ever. and can anyone verify that the latent effect is indeed you have to have ur health in the yellow? i just heard that and was wonderin, i'll post up if I find out

I can guarantee you don't need yellow health for it to go off. I've just gone outside the city gates and beat on poor innocent lvl 1 mobs, and it randomly warps when I hit the monster (usually takes me about 8-ish before I'm gone)

i want to know what really happens when you run out of your 10 uses of warp or what ever the enchanment might be. Because i know that some people say that it'll recharge and some people say that it'll revert to a normal item

Don't flame people and call them fools when you've obviously never used the item before; it just makes you look like an idiot.
This staff has 10 charges, must be equipped for 30 seconds before you can use it, and has a 24 hour cool down time before you can use it again.
Treat Staff II has 1 charge, must be equipped for 30 seconds before you can use it, and has a 5 day cool down time before you can use it again. However, Treat Staff II's charge is never actually used by warping.

You can use the warp once every 24 hours. Someone mentioned to me that after 5 RL days it will recharge 1 warp, but it hasn't been 5 days yet so I can't confirm this.

For the 5-day recharge you are thinking the Treat Staff II, but that's not confirmed really either, just seems to make sense since it only has one charge and shouldn't be worse then the Trick Staff II.

Yes, the Treat Staff II can be used at any time. After use, you must wait the 5 RL days before using it again. It's a long wait, but it's good to have one if you save a warp scroll every 5 days. I've used it 4-5 times since the event... it's even saved my *ss a time or two. ^^

I got this staff on my first try by trading a Saruta Orange to the ghost NPC in Sandy that is standing by a tent across from the AH (can't remember the name sorry). Its pretty awesome, but I really hope it can be recharged. If anyone knows for sure, please let me know. Thank you!
As far as I know you cannot recharge any enchanted items. Some enchanted items revert to normal items that you can use in the original recipe to recreate the enchanted item, others remain an enchanted item with 0 charges.

when the holloween event is over you can't use the staffs. Sorry to break it to you. someone who got one last year said he couldn't use it when event was over
I wasn't on during halloween of last year and cannot verify the above, but weren't enchanted items just added to the game with one of the latest patches prior to the CoP release? If there were no enchanted items prior to that release how could your friend have gotten one last halloween? I believe that all of the staffs last year had latent effects not enchantments.

Indeed, this is Trick Staff II, with a limit of 10 uses. Not the Treat Staff from last year.

In addition, have you not seen people all over before this event with trick staves and pumpkin heads. I don't know if you meant use the enchantment, but you can certainly still equip it after the event is over, just like the Yukatas from the Summerfest event.

This pissed me off more than anything else. I traded some grapes to an NPC, and it said I got Trick Staff II. I go into my mog house and look at my inventory, and it WASN'T THERE! It's gone!
Saying "it's just a game" about an online game is like saying "it's just a phone."
The only thing i can think of is that your inventory may have been full when u got the item. If not, then I have no idea. I would just keep trying for a Treat Staff II, since the enchantment warp is infinite just with a longer reuse time. I can't get a Treat Staff for the life of me, but i got both Trick Staff I and Trick Staff II. But the Trick Staff II did save my life already so i should be thankful, lol. I was delivering supplies to the Sanctuary of Zi'tah, after i got off my choco and successfully delivered supplies, i tried to teleport out from the npc, but my level isnt high enough (im level 33 but i think the lvl to warp to and from Zi'tah is 35). I immediately got aggroed by a Goblin Robber, so i use perfect dodge, equip the staff, and wait for the charge time to go down. The gob links another gob that has a leech and when the warp finally went off i had 12 hp left and arrived in jeuno safely. Sorry my post is so long, just thought u might be interested in my story.

the drops appear to be completely random.. i got pumpkin head 2 trick staff1 and 2 yesterday rather quickly , then burn though some treats. then this morning the 2nd person i traded i got a horror head... i wonder if there h u is a time limit or an amout they give away per day? just a thought. anyways,, i need pumpkin head 1..iam no tank!! so pumpkin head 2 does me no good.. wish u could trade others players that had heads.

go to items and check the staff and it will happen. i dont know if it recharges or what. if u find out let me know.

Equip it, the timer will count down 30 second, go into inventory and it will be light blue, you are now able to use it.

Yay! I got one too! You just have to buy tons of "sweet" type food items, and run after the "trick" npc's that run around town and trade them to them over and over and over...
...at least that's all I did. I keep trying for the Pumpkin Head II, but I still haven't gotten it.
