I wish drks could use this sword. Its crap dmg would automatically make it bad for pts so its not like we would be overpowered or anything. Woulda been fun to play around with though ;;

I'm 75 rdm, 60 drg and 62 WAR. I bought this GS for 1,800,000 gil on Shiva server last night -- I gotta admit it's awesome for skillups and the TP build is unbelievable. But since WAR can't get either of the good GS weaponskills it's not worth it for me, so I'm tryin to resell for 2mil. But I had an idea -- try WAR/RNG using this GS simply for TP, and spam Sidewinder or Slug Shot like there's no tomorrow!
Won't do anything. Warrior is D in marksmanship and archery. Just use rampage and leave the /rng to sam.
It will do things....WAR/RNG can get a hella lot of ranged accuracy and with our naturally high STR, we can make some pretty mean damage. I have used this as WAR/RNG in ballista and it is amazing

i got my hands on one and let my pld friend skill up with it well looking for my coffer key in Eldieme Nercroplis and his skill went from 60ish to 13X something we were there for 3 hours no key >.< going back to night >.<

OK, i bought one last night. This thing is killer for skill up. Just playing around last night i got 10 levels on my GS skill. The damage is not anything amazing but do to the fact i almost never it mobs once. I could do some pretty good damage. Plus the TP u get is insane. In 2-3 normal swings i could go from 0-100 TP. If u have Haste on it is a non-stop flury of GS attacks it is insane. So if u want to skill up fast this Gsword will do the trick. like i said get a WHM,RDM or BRD for haste and u will cap GS in no time flat.

oh noes 26 dmg....it's a farkin' greatsword...that attacks 2-3 times sometimes.....dont' complain....i don't see a polearm that does this, or a dagger, or a katana, or a great katana or a bow that shoots two arrows at once sometimes or a gun with bullets or a staff or knuckles, or any other weapons i missed....

Soboro Sukehiro is the Great Katana Version of this Sword and it has 40 DMG and can be used at lvl 50!! Soboro Sukehiro FTW!!!

Merciual Pole is staff version of this.
I just recently acquired this sword for 2.5 million gil on Ramuh. I must say the sword should read "Rarely attacks once" instead of "Occasionally attacks 2-3 times". This sword does stack with double attack and build TP insanely fast. I went from 134 Great Sword skill to 172 in a day, mostly from soloing golems in zi'tah then joining a skill up party with linkshell for an hour. The damage is low, but once you attain the higher end weapon skills this could prove very useful in certain situations.
Personally I think this would be a great hate gaining weapon for a PLD. So many hits = so much hate, and then they can pull off some good WS for once. {Hmmm.}{That's interesting.}

ok 5 swords in rag server and going for 4mil damn why cant a drk use this would be a great skill up weapon + you can make 3 light skill chains in a fight rather than 1 with cofers the low damage
this is fuc*** funny...is it a coinceidence that they didnt want a drk to be able to use it....i mean Blood weapon + soul eater + 2-3 hits...im really pissed >.<

With this sword you can get up to 44tp in a round, LOL serious ive seen it attack 1-4 times in a row or it could have just been a double attack.
The Tp gain is UNREAL!!!
Just think of doing non-stop Spinning Slash With a thf sub LOL. Talk about major hate. Yeah dmg isnt uber high per swing but it totals up to do way more dmg than a Balan's greatsword. Say if you add it up it comes out to do the same dmg as a DMG 76 444 delay GS. yeah you might miss one in awhile but you are still doing someking of dmg during a round unlike with a normal GS if you miss for a round you miss. It's reall a nice sword for a DD pld (or war if they use gs???) having fun. Laugh at me if you like but ive seen it work well before lol.
Btw this thing eats through too weak and EP mobs like mad if your GS skill is capped (about 75-120 dmg for 3 strait swings is nice) and on IT mobs i was hittin for about 20-50 a swing which for 3 swings is nice total 150 dmg a round plus 33 tp lol. On IT mobs ive done Spinning Slash Up to 7 times averaging between 250-600 dmg depending on attack and SATA ready, Im not kiddin lol. HELL its CRAZY to see a GS do like 7 attacks in a row and double attack seems to help but no matter the sub it attacks like mad. I did all this experimenting with about +40 acc (Ohat, Hauby, a sniper, or life belt, knight colloer etc etc). Over all I think its a very kewl weapon either for fun or for party it all depends on people strategy and the gear they have and they can make it work. The price though is up to what your willin to pay for it, I think its fun but others may or may not like it but overall i think its worth it for the fun at least for coffer help exp partys or just plain hacking stuff up.

Sounds pretty cool, my only concern would be that each time you hit a mob you give it tp too. I totally dig where your comeing from, but i would be concerned about the mob going as tp move crazy as you would. Especially since Wars and Palis dont really get subtle blow.

A couple have shown up on Cerberus. One guy was shouting in Jeuno to sell it for 18 million gil.

26 DMG damage is correct. This thing attacks 1-3 times per round Don't be fooled by "Occasionally, it really gives an equal random chance of # of attacks like Ridill, Kraken Club, etc.

Maybe this is an old comment, anyway Vrtra has been beaten many times already at least on Odin. I went personally to the spawn point and Vrtra wasn't there, plus some ppl told me they watched Vrtra being taken down by 2 japanese LS.
Truth is i still haven't heard about any NA HNMls that killed Vrtra, because you need a LOT of people for this HNM, and i mean 40-50 people cause it's plenty of Adds there that must be constantly killed.

I'd hafto agree, this is kindof....odd....if Vrtra (sp? ^^;; ) drops it, then it's MUCH tougher to get than Kraken Club, and if the damage shown on this sword is right, Kraken Club is much better anyhow..
*edit* Well, it might do a bit more damage, but if you wanted damage you'd use a normal g.sword vs this, and Kraken Club earns better hate for a PLD while still letting em use a shield.
