If you have to own Movalpolos to get this ore sold to you by a merchant Cerberus is screwed--I haven't seen anyone own it other than the beastmen a single week since CoP came out (at least not the weeks I'm on).

well that is true but it would be in the promithia worlds thats what you are stumped with and you want to know how people can acess them when the expansion isn't release. well thats where you are wrong i found out yesterday that the australian version of FFXI had just been released yesterday 3 days before chains of promithia well the thing is their copy came with the expansion thats why the major update was done now then later. someone from australia would have gotten a copy and used the expansion. i would thing this person would already own a copy of the game before it came out so they could acess the new worlds...well thats just my theory anyway but i would think it is a very good guess
Except, since they just got the game, their characters would be level 1. The expansion has already been released in Japan, so it's the Japanese who are getting the new items.
First of all, what use would Europe have with CoP if they just got the game and they are all lvl 1, unable to go to the new areas and do the new missions?
Second, the only country with advantage was Japan, they have all those lvl 75 characters already that were in the new areas a week before most US people. Not to mention their constant advantages of server maintenance that always interrupts US prime time. I don't want to hear how anything could be unfair to Japan.
EDIT: also saying i agree it should be released in every country at the same time.
