The attack boost from a mithkabob is more worth the accuracy bonus from sushi in low/mid levels. Rice Dumplings give fair attack+ as well as Accuracy+5. Even if your accuracy is only 60% or so, adding another 10-15 accuracy won't boost your total DoT as much as eating meat will. By the time you get to the point that you can use Sushi for a significant enough bonus, you should have enough accuracy gear available to you to be able to keep using meat anyway.

Squid Sushi is good for thiefs especially when you hit 30. Dex and Agi both effect how effective your trick attack and sneak attack are. You do miss the +5 str you get from sole sushi so I would be interested in seeing the DoT on both sushi's.

actually i might do this because of the extra stats. there are no gear that can give the raw attribute stats than sushi gives. also if you have money it is of no concequence whats so ever. to you, it seems like a waste. but to someone whos got lots of cash, or better yet, to someone who can make them, its nothing.

you shouldn't be using ACC food at that level or anywere near it, especially sushi, 15% of a low skill is close to nothing. If you must use acc food use something like Jack 'o lanterns(10acc) or eyeball soup(12acc). Or stick with atack food like meat mithkabobs, dhalmel steak and meat jerky.

As for higher levels maybe 45+ sushi becomes better, Sole is best for DD if you can pay the price (most people think the +5 str isn't worth the price). Otherwise squid or bream sushi works fine for SAM and mostly all DD jobs.

Ok lets clear this up because I'm only saying this one more time. Sole sushi does not give you any better acc than squid. The only difference between the two is that sole gives you str+5 along with everything squid gives you. If you don't believe me then go check it out on this site or any other for yourself. That +5 str may be what you're looking for but acc it is not.

Sole Suishi is meant for DDs. It gives DEX, STR, and added accuracy. There are more DDs in the game then blink tanks this is why Sole is more expensive it also uses rarer fish. This food is meant for WAR/NIN NIN/WAR RNG/NIN (AGI n RA+ being the big factor here AGI gives ranged acc)THF/NIN (DEX and AGI for SATA also the racc n acc is nice).

First off, since Lanterns have -10 CHR, the lie of CHR giving enmity would mean that the food lowers enmity, making it the opposite of what you'd need... (Rate down, btw)

Second of all, if you still believe CHR effects [Fill in the blank], please hit the link on Nekio'post to know the real and exact truth.

Third: yes, this food is awesome (as are all sushi, frankly). If your not tanking and have the gil to blow, then I highly recommend this. If tanking, I'd say go with the Lanterns for the EVA+10. Just my opinion though ^^

Since when do Jacks give enmity?

And if anyone says anything along the lines of "CHR gives enmity blah blah blah," I'm rating you down for perpetuating the lie. The truth.

*EDIT*
Since people still don't get it, I'll even post the quote to which I have already linked so that no one can ever claim anything hate-related is affected by CHR.

The question asked in the interview was, "Does charisma affect hate/enmity(aggro)? Or is it only for Bard songs and Beastmaster charms?"

The answer by the SE rep was:
"The charisma attribute score does not affect hate or enmity(aggro). It does,
however, affect how a bard`s songs and a beastmaster`s charm ability are not
only used but also resisted. There are also weapon skills that are greatly
affected by charisma."

This is all they said. Note they didn't say "doesn't directly affect hate." What they did say was that ONLY songs and charm, as well as a few WS (including Dancing Edge) are affected by CHR. Either SE lied to us about CHR, or CHR has no bearing on anything other than what they stated (Charm, Songs, and WS's) Why are there still arguments about this?

CHR certainly doesn't directly affect enmity. Everything I've seen in the game leads me to beleive that it does affect provoke though. Hence the confusion and rumours (people are stupid enough that they can't seem to seperate the concepts of the provoke job ability and enmity itself).

Ketami, DEX becomes a moot point because if you want accuracy, you buff the accuracy stat directly. The amount you can buff it rapidly caps out at higher levels (same for damage and ranged accuracy) - everyone ends up with the same accuracy. Though the DEX gap does widen a little at higher levels, the actual effect it has on overall accuracy/hit% decreases as you progress through levels because of other factors. You have to look at the whole picture instead of just learning what the base stats effect.

Gonna have to agree.

They S-E didn't say it ONLY helped BRD, BST, and some WS's. S-E gave examples. Call me skeptic, but 'voke still has some speculation in there. My belief? 'voke has two parts: spike hate and static hate. Static stays, spike doesn't. The more CHA, the the more spike hate is transfered to static hate. But that's just a pld's view on things. I could be wrong, I'm not at all the expert on 'voke.

Second, Rigsta's right. If you want to increase ACC, you'll go for ACC directly. Higher levels, and the race card doesn't matter. +1 DEX when you have 60-70 to begin with, means crap in the long run. +10 ACC is the rough equivilant to +20 DEX (course dex has two sides; +acc and -chance to GET crited). So, ACC is what you need to increase.

Jack's seem better for nin's (given the obvious +eva stat, meaning more uts), though sushi is always fun. I use sole sushi on my THF.

What is also sad, is that provoke almost becomes irrelevent past 60. Just an initial push to get it to look at you. I get more hate with ninjutsu than with a provoke. So -10 chr, who really cares.

Halfway down, in the Job Abilities and Qualities subtitle.

Quote:
DEX (Dexterity) - Affects your chances of landing a physical attack and your chance of inflicting/receiving a critical hit.

AGI (Agility) - Affects your chances of dodging a physical attack from an enemy and is also related to your long range attack accuracy.

So, DEX will affect critical ratio and AGI will affect how often you dodge. Given, you can dodge a critical attack, I believe (I've guarded against them and shield blocked them before on MNK and PLD respectivly).

It's not just 15 accuracy, it's 15%. It is very good. I was in a party where all the melees were eating mithkabobs, and when the beetle buffed its evasion, i was the only one hitting it more than every once in a while. I was landing so many shots that the ninja lost hate to me.

EDIT: Most melees depend on STR/ATT to do damage, so sole is better for them. THF depend on DEX/AGI/ATT to do damage. Since THF/WAR have berserk, this is an excellent food. THF/NIN still need something to boost their attack rating.

If you don't have money for Sole sushi and you're a DRK, DRG, MNK, or SAM, this is a good alternative. While you don't get the obvious STR boost that Sole gives, you do get the ACC bonus, which I find just as valuable.

I'm a Mithra 55DRK on Kujata and I just started using this(since buying sole sushi on a regular basis would deplete my money), and the only thing I have to do is buff STR and Attack more(STR+10, Attack+26). This is a perfectly fine alternative if you're money isn't as high as you'd like it to be. At 60, I plan to save some money up so sole can be my permenant dish, however.

Yes I can confirm it adds Racc also. Rng are loves these. For melees I think sole sushi are better since they give same acc and Racc bonus but they give more dex than agi.

So rng, nin = squid sushi
Drk, Mnk, Drg, Sam = Sole
Thf = Depending on gear and price since they need both dex and agi

I highly disagree. im a lvl 60 thf and i would take squid sushi over meat mithkabobs any day!
the +6 dex +5 agi and 14% acc is heaven. the acc will ensure you get the TP you need plus the boost from dex and agi makes this my personal favorite for thf food.

THF/NIN are better off with mithkabobs (or some other food that boosts attack).

yes, most definately. dex helps sneak attack, and agi helps trick attack. unfortunatly they are 18k a stack, at least on Fairy that is. if i could afford it, i would start using these instead of mithkabobs

Went to another site to look this recipe up.
Here it is:
[Earth] (Raw Fish Handling) Tarutaru Rice, Rice Vinegar, Gigant Squid, Distilled Water, Ground Wasabi
and the cap is 70.
Well here's the link to the site:

This also gives accuracy+14. AND the rumor is, rng.acc.+14 also. Can anyone confirm this? Because, this may be good HNM food for RNG.

i think it most def gives +14 or more rng. accuracy... used this to pt and i NEVER missed a sidewinder yet... this is way better than yellow curry crap... better to bust 2 100% tp sidewinders than wait to 200% for it to hope to land...

I just got this today from the NPC Jacodaut (the one with the medium difficulty recipes), my cooking skill is at 66.x right now, although I had advanced support on when I talked to him, although that probably doesn't matter.
