Dougiefresh... what were you thinking selling the items back off? The only thing the prices are doing is steadily climbing. I bought my rhodonite yesterday for 70k. Today it's worth 160k. Got Moblinweave for 40k. Today it's worth 60k. Got a paktong ingot for 2.5k and today it's worth 15-18k. Just bought my bugard leather for 10k. I have no skill in leathercrafting and the price of the leather was climbing too...
Man I can't wait for all the people to start hitting themselves for buying this at anywhere over 2k.
Anyways, I have synthed 5 out of 6 succesful an on that one I failed I got a .1 skill up. That means the cap is no higher than 26 but above 21.
The recipe for this is. Dark Crystal 1xWillow Log 1xDistilled Water 1xBugard Skin
I have not tried the normal way of synthing leather using windurstian tea leaves because the skins are too expensive to try, in case the cap of that recipe and this one are different, which has been known to happen.

Synthing these starting at 21.3, I got to 22 on five synths with one break yeilding me a .2 skill up. So again this synth's cap is also no higher than 26 but seeing my success rate I would say it is either 24 or 25.

Actually, you can get bugard leather. It showed up in the jeuno AH on Midgardsormr this morning.
The bag increase is the normal 5 spaces. I have already submitted the quest, but they haven't added it yet. Perplexingly, several of the items are also mislabelled as being part of a ranger AF quest.
I bought 3 other items for gobbiebag 5 on Valefor server on 09/16/2004 for about 65k gil. When I got to the point I was going to purchase bugard leather, I found that none were available or had even been through the Jeuno AH yet. I was able to sell my items back off within a half hour for 5k overall more than I paid. I can wait for CoP if that is the case. Thank goodness I dumped my items back off before the price fell...which it inevitably will when everyone else realizes that the last item is impossible to get at the moment, or when there are more items than the AH can hold of that type.
This is also used in Gobbie Bag V, haven't seen it in AH though.
