Iam lvl 19 leather craft and got the recipe for this from the advanced guy at this lvl. I think it's both a cloth and leather craft recipe as it uses both cloth and leather materials.

so i believe you guys that this is leatherworking main if the leatherworking NPC gave you the recipe, but does anyone else think this is retarded?? sheep leather caps at like 4, you can make it starting at 0. Linen you should be 10-12 before starting and caps at 20. This recipe has way more cloth-craft materials than leather materials. So in all, it's almost entirely higher level clothcraft materials, and yet it's leathercraft main?? sometimes (most of the time) I think that SE is just plain stupid. Finally, I know this happens all the time, but I find it really annoying that making sheep leather caps at 4, and yet this recipe which has sheep leather as the only leather working ingrediant caps leather in the low 20's (from waht everyone is saying).
Does anyone happen to know about what lvl I might be able to make these? Got a Rng friend who needs some but doesn't have the money. I have all the items required.
The reason you were never given this recipe, StoatHead, is because this isn't a clothcraft synth. It's a leathecraft synth that requires clothcrafting as a sub job. This recipe would be given by an NPC at the tanner's guild and not the weaver's guild. ^^
I wish I knew what level requirement. I now have inspiration to get my leatherworking up ^^ Anyways, if you want the recipe, it's listed on Mystery Tour. Sorry...don't have a fancy link =(
Actually, thats incorrect. Its clothcrafting main and leathercraft second. The reason I can say this for certain is due to the level needed for leatherworking is far lower than that needed for clothcraft. I could attempt this synth at only level 8 leatherworking (it will state you do not have the craft skill to do this synth if it is beyond the level of a support craft) while skilling my clothcraft skill. I got this craft from the weavers guild in Windurst.
If anyone knows the leatherworking cap for this synth, however, I would be very interested to know.
Someone seems to have thought that this post was worth rating down. If you look at the date of the post, it was before anyone knew what levels these synths were. I was reporting that I could do this synth and actually HQ it which, as any crafter knows, means that both of my skills are at least 11 levels above the cap. I guess someone thinks this information should be kept secret.
I am level 22 Cloth. The Advanced Cloth NPC gave me the recipes for the Gaitors. The medium NPC gave me the recipe for the Doublet, Gloves and Beret. But, neither would give the recipe for the Brais.
Because of that, I am under the impression (but could be mistaken) that this item will cap out at level 22 Cloth.
I am trying to make a set of this gear for a member of my LS. If anyone knows the recipe for this armor, please submit it. Thank you.
