Hiyas First post ever on here... i'm currently 72 dragoon main trying to work to get Barone or better yet the HQ set... got regular legs only so far.
Anyone on Carbuncle able to craft these or any of the Barone pieces? i'd provide mats if get an answer i'll start gathering em. An HQ possibility no matter how rare would rule.
I don't have much in gil yet but am running bcnms finally so getting some gils coming in. Character is Meowsalot a Mithra of course.
Also if this isn't the place to post craft requests or theres a better place let mew know. Thx for any feedback/reply ^.^ ~meow~

Finally got my full set unintentional. body piece was selling for for 1.2 M. Nice how the economy dropped to these insanely low prices. Hurt my pocket but its damn well worth it to own the full barone set.

well, based upon the craft skills shows as minimal to synth this, I am 60 Gold, 54.5 Leather and 94.7 SMithing when I attempted 2 times /w Adv. support. I failed both times, 1 time getting a Smithing skillup before failure. Either the Leathercraft sub isn't 56, or this game was being real bitchy.

If a job like DRG gets a body piece that gives a 2/tick Regen, then the Melee Cyclas should give at least 2/tick as well. I know the Barone Corazza is a lot more expensive than any piece of af2, but my point lies in the fact that MNKs have hundreds more HP than any DRG ever will and the least SE can do for them is give them a body piece that's more than just a 1/tick Regen. A 1/tick Regen is just a drop in the bucket for MNKs (even lolTaruMNKs).
Barone Corazza is very good no matter what people say.
Not only does it look amazing, but the 2 hp/tick helps for the few times a DRG should actually get hit but the added TP saves me an extra swing to get 100 tp when I use jumps.
Also a WAR/DRG will get some insane tp from jumps with a GA(Not to mention jumps do like 500 base with GA)

The Barone Corazza is /ok/ for Dragoon's I'd say 3rd... maybe 4th best piece for end-game. The Scorpion Harness is still better, and I got 1 for under 3mil on my server (Shiva) far more worth the money than 6mil for this. The Assault Jerkin is still better than the SH too, and there is a new Piece of equip that came with Aht Urhgan, can't recall the name but it's rare/ex and does wonders for a DRG. The Barone Cosciales (Legs) are the only piece i would recomend for a DRG.

I would have to disagree with you. I have SH, AJ and I just got my Barone crafted today. (Urd.. u the man, THANKS) (got the materials myself 5.5 mil total)You are a 68 drg. When you get to lvl 71-72 SH +10 acc is not that big of a help. I had SH, 2 woodsman rings and lifebelt. I took them all off and I could barely tell the difference in my acc. (ohat covers that) The eva with SH is a waste unless u solo but then again regen from barone is helpful when u solo as well. As for AJ, it's very close to barone. But getting 50+ tp on 2 jumps after a ws is pretty sweet. Toss in /sam for meditate and have jump time merits capped and u will be a WS nitemare for mobs. By the way, I did see that body armor that came with Aht Urhgan. I can't remember the name either. The stats were sick. I tried 2 write the name and the stats down but the person zoned into a special area.

I agree. There are very few situations in which I would take an SH over this thing here. I can't even think of any off the top of my head, but I'll say "very few" to avoid making a blanket statement.

If there is a crafter on Fairy with 100 smithing (+'s are nice) and 60 on the subcrafts who has some time mind helping me with the craft right now all I need is the Water Bead and Orichalcum Sheet. I'm gonna do a BCNM (manni body's for sell if anyone is interested) and get one of the 2 and the rest after i get the 1st body sold off ^.^
I'm almost at 64 now I want the whole set before i hit 70 (and yes i know O hat T mitts and AJ can be better in some situations) can't wait to walk around in this thing ^^

Ok by far this is one of the best DRG body armor. why? ok first of all Barone Body + Legs = insane TP gain. I can finish a Wheeling Thrust and use my 2 jumps and have bout 50% tp gained. Camped Ose for Assault Jerkin and was 0/8 on it, and wasted 20+ hours. *Shall we get to the point* On my server this fine piece is going for 18-20 MIL. Now for all you DRGs that want to get this piece and cannot afford it, here is a tip. The key is to know your crafters. You will need to know a LV100+ Smither(Moly Sheet & final sync for the armor) and Goldsmither(Orc. Chain) in order to get this piece cheap. How? Check bazzars check AH or even camp for all ther materials. I spent bout 6 MIL on materials and got it crafted. Do the math 6MIL versus 18-20MIL??!!? Saved me bout 13 MIL and can save YOU awesome DRGs the same. ^^ good luck~

Thanks for the tip. I started collecting the materials to get mine crafted. And OSE isn't that bad. First time camping was there for 3hrs. He popped and got drop.... Ohh wait, that was a friend of mine in shell. Not bad right!!!! I go 2 camp him. 10 mins Ose pops. Get drop. AJ is a great armor to have,but Barone is my baby. Just need to give birth to it. ; ) (with a slight hope for Conte 2 pop out instead)

not only is this good for soloing DRG/mage it's also an awesome, much less friggen ugly alternative to the assault jerkin, which is painfully annoying to get hands on. And my spiked finger gauntlets actually don't look all that bad with it as they did with the AJ and my SH *shudders*

/sigh I currently have 89 smithing +2 59 Gold and 57 leather, I've had my moly ore for months now, i made it into and ignot and id like to get to 100+3 smithing before going any further how ever ive run out of funds and 100 smithing seams almost imposible to obtain with the insain prices on my server almost every item sells for around 75% profit loss and they all contain adaman of some sort (selling for about 300k an ore atm), im really considering atempting to craft my corazza now, with +2(mitts and apron) and +3 from advanced support that would put me up to 94 smithing, its a huge gamble but i dont see another option really, this damn thing ive been trying to get it forever, the only reason i even started crafting -_-;

My LS did Jorgy at the weekend, got my body and done a little bit of playing with it. The best thing about this body from what I can see is the massive boost to jump TP you get wearing it combined with the JSE trousers. It's like 20 TP per jump, which is very nice indeed.

honestly, this armor is completly pointless, aside from buying it for looks to wear around in towns, but at its outraguious cost thats not really an option. the regen might be nice for solo, but with the healing power of drg/whm is pointless too.
if you can kill jorm for the ore to make one of these pos, then you shoiuldnt have nay trouble getting a hecatomb harness, which is clearly far better. unless your a lv70 gil buyer with alot to waste, theres absolutly no point in having this piece of junk.

They are referring to the difference between the 2 pieces. AJ has the +3 Acc and +18 Att, but if you subtract the +13 from the corazza, that gives you +5 that he's talking about

its a shame that the stuff used to make it are rare. other level 70 stuff are almost affortable to most jobs but this thing is going for 15-20 on my server and only three have been sold by the same person. given the rarity of the ingredience i dont think the price will ever go down. barone would be a great set for Maat. would parry almost everything he throws at ya.

There is no NPC that sells this or the Molybdenum ore, the only Barone peice that is sold from an NPC is the Barone Feet for some insane amount of gil.....

The reason this is so expensive is because Molybdenum Ore drops only from the Tiamat and Jormungand Dragon HNMs in Attowha Chasm and Uleguerand Range.
On Cerberus I saw a JP 70Drg wearing this, and the pants and boots from the Barone set. She also had equiped the Carapace Helm and Gloves. Kick ass armor all together. High defense, high attack, made for smashy-smashy.

The Caraprice DEF is a latent effect and even when it is activated (when hp goes into yellow) the DEF it adds decreases every 4 seconds until you get back to your base DEF.

The recipe is correct above the level requirements are 98 smithing 59 goldsmithing and 55/56 leathercraft
and to the person who said that it was 100/60 smithing goldsmithing...how many body armors crafted from smithing do not require leathercraft sub...well not just smithing most armors made from bonecraft smithing and goldsmithing require a leathercraft sub.

I am on PM "Darkness Named" long long after Tavnazian Safehold acsess, and i have yet to see a NPC selling this gear, or molybdnum ore, for any amount of money, I would love tok now where all of these rumors are coming from, and i would love to see them confirmed, it has also been said the molybdnum ore can be obtained from claming... so far the only confirmed way is from killing jorgumund or tiamat, if some one else can prove any other way you will be my @#%^ing hero.

I would also like to know the name of the npc that sells this and for how much
I'd love for someone to speak to the NPC in the Tavnazian Safehold that sells this for an obscene amount of gil...and tell us just how much this obscene amount of gil is. ><
I was told by the only person who has crafted this on my server that level 100 smithing and level 60 goldsmithing is required, he also insisted that leathercrafting isn't needed at all. I guess thats pretty verafiable since he crafted it, but i would love to hear it from more than one sorce, im trying to raise my smithing and gold smithing to craft this , and once i get the molybdnum ore I deffintly dont want to mess it up.

All i have to say is owwie....
buffalo leather = leather craft
darksteel sheet = smithing
gold ingot = goldsmithing
mercury = alchemy
scarlet linen cloth = cloth craft
and i think the water bead is a level 90+ goldsmithing item as well.... you prolly have to be god to make this thing!

i just saw a 75 war on shiva wearing this...as far as i know hes the only one that has it.
