The difference between 15% and 16% is signifigantly higher than the difference between 1% and 2%. It is a multiplication factor which increases expadentialy. You can not think that 16% Vs 15% is not a worthwile senario for it is a huge increase. Keep in mind 1% increase at 10 base mp is 1mp bringing you to a total of 2mp. The same is not true with a 15% or 16% increase at... random higher intervals of mp. The differance has been multiplied form the original thesus of 1mp@1%@10base. Now what this game dosn't take into fact are it's decimals. at a 2.5%(random#) the ".5" is lost or inactive unless another ".5%" is added to the equation from another source.

I don't quite know why but on Valefor atm, I can't shift NQ Marron Glace for 4k. I am 83 in cooking and using this synth to get me to 85/86 before moving on to rollanberry pie or vampire juice to get me to 90. It is a shame to NPC this type of food because it is so easy to make and pretty useful. Making non stackable food to skill upon is a pain but the only comfort I have right now is the loss isnt nearly as much as other crafts at this lvl.
I make the glace on Siren, they sell pretty well and fast, price ranges from 5-8k for NQ. Items area ez gathering and helps with a mule in sandy.
Anyways i made this at 93+2 cook and I have only made 1 HQ (facing N, darkstaff, iceday if that matters). Sold it for 31k. So if anyone wants to know how high to start HQ'n em ( I think i made by pure dumb luck ;p )

In this case it has a +90 MP where the Marron Glace has +85 MP cap. Not a big difference but im sure that extra 5mp would come in hand once in a while
Marron Glace does not have an 85 MP cap, so the HQ of it (Bijou Glace) wouldnt have a 90 either. --I have 667 mp and marron glace brings me up to around 757+ -- also, in the Marron Glace item forums I believe there is also a Taru saying

so I am unsure of exact cap, but I am 99.9% sure it isnt 85mp. Also, the INT boost that was on Marron Glace is gone (as others previously stated) so I'd naturally assume the HQ version would follow suit.

So basicly the only plus of this being HQ is the fact that it lasts an hour longer? That is kinda dumb i dont think that is enough benefit for a HQ item.

A patch or 2 ago they demolished all INT on any glace food. Including this one.
