Hey decided I might as well hunt Lizzy for the boots since I'm a poor thief and all... So I just go out there as THF/RNG... spotted her withing 10 min but someone else got her... I ran back to Bastok to see if they had any darts then I came back... And would you know it, within 15 min she spawns again... So I track her, Flee, and use my Steal macro... Nice kill and nice drop XD I'll be hunting her again for sure

Hey, its me again and i got another question id like to ask everyone. When i was lvling Thf 15-25, i'd get the LL boot drop rate easily but since im lvl 45 i have not go the drop out of 9 kills in 3 days, thats pretty bad yeah. Can anyone prove that lower the lvl,better the drop rate %. Thanks~

No I don't think SE messed with the lizzy's spawn rate. The longest I waited for spawn was about 4 hrs. then 10 min after that he spawned again lol.

I keep reading these threads about the LL, so i decided to share my experience with all of you. i'm approx. 6/48 ratio with the drop/claim. i have spent sleepless nights 6 hr clips at times camping this NM. those on bahamut server would probably recognize my name although i haven't been on in a couple months. anyways what i learned is that the spawn rate ranges from 10 mins to 4.5 hrs. it is a lottery spawn, but i've had times where 5 people would kill every single lizard, and the LL not pop for 4+ hrs. the job that i find best suited for camping is thf/bst.
i have thf at 45 for THII and bst is at 22 for an upgraded Wide Scan, which is comparable to a lvl 1 rng's WS. i like bst better cuz of charm, which is slightly quicker then throwing darts. i park my butt on the rockledge near the trail. then i spam WS until it pops, hit my flee macro then my charm macro once the LL gets in range. i got this procedure down to a science and 90% of the time i get the claim. being in pt's doesn't seem to help the drop rate reguardless of what other people say! i like camping this NM cuz of the competition involved w/ it, and the fact that gil sellers never seemed to camp it in my server. the only other thing that would help is the strider boots, which if you had those you wouldn't need the leaping boots. i gave all my gil and gear away when i stopped playing, so i only need about 20 sets of boots to get my noble's tunic now. rest assured i will be back with a vengence, so you'd better start lvling and practicing!

well i tried this NM 33 THF no boots or pin 1st time on widescan seen lizzy claimed dropped nothing. next day same time of night bam again 2nd kill dropped boots. I know people that have killed Lizzy 15 times and nothin so i feel lucky

I would say around an hour, but I have only seen her three times, claimed her the first time, no drop, second time there was loads of campers thf beat me to her, third time I claimed her and got the drop, and I won't be back now that I got the boots.

1/2 - Leaping Lizzy - One of the few camping that wanted to use the boots instead of sale them.

I seem really lucky lately, for me it seems real easy to catch the leaping lizzy on quetzalcoatal, I have killed it 33 times now 0.o

No drop tho.
On the other server I play on its almost impossable to grab the claim.

Ok i have recently been posting various posts on high lvl items that give great boosts in stats. Now i think i shall take a break write a small guide on the leapin lizzy boots and a good statergy on how to get them.

Ok first things first: these legendary boots currently go from a low of 500k to a high of 750k. Yes this is a lot of gil however this boots really only go up in price and can serve as a investment. So the main question: Should i buy them or hunt Leapin Lizzy? well read on to find out.

1)Ok ya an average of 600k is alot of gil but as ive stated this can be a great investment. Another thing is that while investing you can lvl some of your low lvled jobs with these boots.

2)Should I buy the Leaping Lizzy Boots or simply hunt the NM to save myself a heap of Gil? This VERY MUCH depends on the person. If you have about a week free on your hands and your a low lvler in need of cash this is probably the best way to get it. HOWEVER if your a high lvl you may be able to make this kind of money in 3 days or less! now i have to tell you it will probably be some hard work on your part to make this money and might not want to spend it on a lvl 7 peice of footgear. but if ur like drowening in the gil or could really use the boots this is probably the best choice for you.

3) some people (namely clothcrafters) dont realize that at a high lvl these already triffic boots can be transformed into Winged boots which are evn better.

4) Choice makin time gutta choose if u really want these boots. Well the rest is up to u.

5) Ok youve chosen to hunt the NM. your first question may b with what job(s) do i use to best get my hands on such a hunted NM. My suggestion : War/Rng This is why. A WARs Provoke, a RNGs Wide scan and the ranged attack. Steps are 1) Wide scan to find Leapin Lizzy 2) porvoke 3) kill 4) if no drop : repeat.

i have been informed in the past few days that SE has added a lvl 30 cap on getting the drop which would explain alot of people never getting the drop one of my freinds got the drop at lvl 25 and can never get it now and shes a high lvl thief. in light of this i leveling my thief to 15 thinking that a lower lvl might be more likley to get the drop the 30 cap was supposed to be added recently. i hope this helps people

I was getting annoyed camping this stupid thing with all the other kids (who were all high lvl wearing millions worth of equip) and was starting to lose faith, but then all my faith in this awesome game was restored when.... someone ran by me and claimed her and then proceeded to invite me to a pt while i was wallowing in misery. When i realized what was going on i accepted and he left the pt. i got the drop and i didnt believe it. I asked the guy why and he said bc he wants to see some lower lvl chars get it for a change. Xodd on Unicorn was his name, i forget what he said his main was but hes the man anyway. keep your hopes up guys cool #%@$ goes down in this game sometimes

I like this spawn a lot.
I find her very easy to kill, yet she is difficult to loacte unless you have the RNG or BST sub.

I got my very first drop yesterday so i'm 1/5 with Lizzy at the moment, i find the leaping boots to be a great asset in leveling jobs such as THF and NIN, mainly the reason why i hunt her.
