In short No

You would still keep your CP for that nation, but you would have to restart from rank 1 nad do all the outpost warp again.

Also when you do change nation you start of with 0 cp, the cp will still be kept on the other nation when you do transfer back.

You keep your rank when you switch back. It will be whatever rank you were in the previous country before you switched.

Example:

Bastok rank 6 switches to sandy and gets rank 4. switch back to bastok and you'll be rank 6 in bastok again. Only real thing that you lose is the outpost warps you have done, they are all reset.
great ring

Alright, going to be straight about this. I know the rules about acquiring the rings from the start. I was playing an Elvaan from Bastok (my first noob mistake, had to wait til rank 3 to get the Bastokan Ring.) Now I've created a Taru that has become my main, and I have the Windurstian ring from starting in Windy of course. However, I want the Sandorian Ring as well.. now I would prefer spending my Conquest points to get them, seeing as how for some strange reason midget land stays no.1 in the ranks on the Quetzalcoatl server. I have heard that it costs mucho gil to change citizenship. I want the Sandorian ring, and I have yet to see it as an option to purchase with conquest points.. what rank must you be? ..and yes I checked while Windy was in first place... *assumed it was rank 3,4 didn't see it listed.. Do I HAVE to change citizenship, and if so.. how is the cost figured to do so. If you're on the Quetzalcoatl server drop DarthYoda a /tell.

I know for a fact that rank 3 and 4000 Conquest Points will get you your nation's ring when they are no.1 in the ranks..
other things I can clear up.. you don't lose your conquest points by switching nations.. you do lose your rank of course.. start from scratch. You cannot trade or sell a nation's ring.. and you can only have one of each. It is not a quest item.. but it is worthwhile for the lower levels..

Clearing things up!^^

OK here is a list of all the rings, since everyone else who posted was lazy and just put ETC. after listing one, which really doesnt help anyone ^^;

San d'Orian Ring: Elvaan, starting game in San d'Oria will recieve this ring

Windurstian Ring: Tarutaru or Mithra starting the game in Windurst will recieve this ring

Bastokan Ring: Hume or Galka starting the game in Bastok will recieve this ring

BUT, for example if you ABSOLUTELY wanted to be a hume (or any other job) but, you wanted the San d'Orian ring/Windurstian Ring, you could switch your nationality to either of those nations and get up to rank3 and buy it from a GateGaurd for Conquest Points.
-This method will work for any race / nationality (that wasn't very clear but i cant think of how to word it properly, i'm sorry ;;)

Okay... I think I have a brilliant idea, but I'm probably wrong...

I already have one of these bad boys. I'm thinking about starting a mule in SanDoria so I can get another one. My questions are (1) will my mule be able to ship this to my main character, and (2) will my main character be able to equip two of these at once?

Even if my mule can't ship it, will I be able to equip two of these if I get one using CP's?

Thanks for any useful feedback...

And also, the Ex means it is non-transferable, so no shipping to anybody.

Nope Rare means only one can be equiped at a time, the little yellow circle exemplifies that.
2 at once?

XD lol... um.... EX you can have lots of EX items, for example you can have a 12 stack of Lanolin Cubes from the Rams that are EX, you must have meant Rare, you can not have more than 1 of any item that is 'rare' in your inventory just clearing up your post, you probably knew what you meant and just typed to fast without thinking ^^

Yes, there are only two ways to get this, CPs, or be an Elvaan and start in San D'oria
The Real Method
# Feb 09 2004 at 2:22 PM Rating: Default
There is no quest for this. To get this ring if you didn't start in your Race's Hometown.(example)An Elvaan who started in Windurst would do this to attain the Windurstian Ring: Get your character to attain Rank 3, (defeat the dragon) Save up 4000 conquest points, then wait until your country is first in the conquests, when you are, buy the ring for 4000cp from a W.W. (under the rank 3 items, next page listing). After I did this I switched my nationality to San d'Orian and did the same thing (got rank 3, got 4000cp, waited for first place) and I bought the San d'Orian Ring! Now my character has Windurstian and San d'Orian rings equipped at the same time! I get asked A LOT about how I did this. Just thought I should post for everyone to see. :)

You can buy this and the other nation's rings with CP when and only when your country is in first place.

i keep hearing that you can buy other cities CP items, under certain conditions, and so on and so forth... but how?? I cna't find anyone who will actaully let me do it. I'm form windy, so who would i talk to in Sandy or Bastok??
?
# Nov 20 2003 at 7:32 PM Rating: Default
is there any other way to get this ring? I would REALLY want to have one, but im an Elvaan who started in windurst, this ring is the best one ive been around and i would do anything to have one damnit
erm
# Nov 14 2003 at 5:38 AM Rating: Default
You get this ring if you are Elvaan from... wait for it... San D'Oria! Hume's in bastok get the bastokan ring, and taru the windurstian, etc. Why you would think a hume from bastok would get a ring of San D'Oria is beyond me ;p

You can also get it using conquest points (rank 3 in san d'oria, not sure about the other nations but i would assume it's the same)
purchase?
# Nov 11 2003 at 2:12 PM Rating: Default
Can you buy it form an aution house? or is it no drop?
#Anonymous, Posted: Nov 03 2003 at 11:30 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) If your a Hume and you start in Bastok you get this ring for free, no quest.

# Nov 09 2003 at 11:50 PM Rating: Default
You get this ring if you start in the home city of your race, not just for hume. I am Elvann and started in San, so I get the ring, etc. Just to clear it up a tad.
