I timed the duration of one of the charges, and it came out to 3 minutes. If you used each charge back to back, you would have about an hour of use out of the thing.

Is there anyway at all to recharge these enchanted items? I just did the quest for this and find that it's pretty worthless at 5k in AH. So unless theres some way to recharge it I'll just give it to a Pally friend :-p
Damn. The only NM I killed was Jesus & all he dropped was Hate & Prejudice...
there is not a way to recharge it. so once the 30 uses are used, its pretty useless.

We did the quest for this with 4. We had a low to mid 60s PLD tanking with an Earth Staff, me as a DRK (53 at the time, I think) meleeing, a low 50s SMN and a low 50s WHM. The SMN 2hr'd and Shiva's 2hr did less than 100 dmg... My melee shots were effective enough to pull hate off of the PLD a couple of times, but what was most effective were my dark magic related spells. Every Absorb-xxx spell stuck every time. Drain and Aspir were super effective. It was a long fight with only 4 but we still annihilated it. My minimum recommendation would be Mid 60s PLD with Earth Staff as a tank, a mid 50s WHM, DRK, BLM and RDM. I forgot to talk to a couple of people tho so I didn't get mine...

Even if the effect is short, it's a nice item for use by a MNK during (read: use before) "Counterstance".

maybe sound like a noob question but this is becuase I never used an equipment like this, but: how do you recharge the equipment?

its RARE so yes you CAN sell it on the AH... now if it was EX you could not sell it. However there is one thing i'm sure you overlooked. You can only sell it on AH if it has FULL charges. If you have less then full charges (ie in this case <20) you cannot sell it on the AH.

Well if ya like extra Vit for short periods of time than i guess this is your item. It would be pretty nice for BCNM's though. Maybe if your a PLD you might want this, but its not my stile.

Yes it does stick when you change gear. I used it already and used it at beginning of a raptor battle.. once cast.. i switched back to my IM gorget.
Extra 7 VIT even for a minute is nice. Its worth 5k in Jeuno AH.

This would be really good for a bard in BCNM40, I wonder if the enchantment lasts if you switch in another neck piece? And how long does it last normally?

I don't like any enchantment items unless they have something useful for me, such as warp, which I can use. The items are too temporary for my tastes.
