I had a pair of these and ended up selling them, because to be honest, I wasn't very impressed with them. having only 8 def at lvl 50 and -2 VIT at that, as has been mentioned before O.Kote certainly seem to be far superior to these.

there is another bcnm to get these in, its bcnm50 in palborough mines burning circle.. cant remember what that area is called, but its the Goobue one, its fairly easy if you use 2 hours, its a 3 man fight, ive won ~3 times as PLD, MNK, SAM, and dropped once

What setup is there for a WAR in the Raptor BCNM, Dual Wield Viking Axes Snipers Life Belt and among other things could help out the DD. Mighty Strikes+Raging Axe+Icharus Wings. Are these guys that hard to hit?

Maybe it just has to do with the fact that it's got VITALITY -2 listed as a trait, and not some hidden effect? These are great when you're not the tank, and are in party as a damage dealer, when you're not the one getting hit. Great for WAR especially using dual-wield axes, DRG since you can high jump and super jump in a party in case you take hate, but not for SAM, who has better options with OKote or Hkote.

I bought these today and went to solo as a 55DRG/WHM but i noticed when i put them on
i was taking more dmg.So i did an experiment

Hey anyone have any info on the drop rate of these bad boys? I've heard different rumors.
Also, Alla only shows 1 BCNM that this drops from (raptor one) Is there any confirmation on the Goobbue one?
Third, in case I never find anyone willing to go with me, is there anyone on Siren that has these that will sell them? Send Ogun a /tell .
In regards to the sleep suggestions on the raptor BCNM, does anyone know when this BCNM was added? I've heard rumblings that some of the newer BCNM that SE added had mobs that were incredibly resistant to or impossible to sleep.

u can also get these from bcnm 50 in waughroom shrine(sp?) i no this because i just got a pair and set the record on ramuh server
the fight is against 1 goobue who hits really hard it has a 3 minute timelimit so u need a lot of damage really fast
our setup:
sam/war mithra
pld/war galka
rdm/blm mithra (me)
strategy:
pld runs up and vokes and right away does invicible. then sam 2hrs and does kagero>jinpu>kagero and rdm does chainspell fire 2 MB. Keep nuking until u run out of mp then convert and eep going dont worry about healing yourself at all. u also might need 2 toss a cure 4 to your pld since this goobues attacks hit really hard
all in all its an easy fight u just cant waste ne time as soon as u get in u have 2 go no time 2 waste

I was so happy to see this up for bid and bought it. This is probably the 2nd pair on Fairy sold by AH, with only one other bought by Alsirius as mention by Amac. So, I put them on to feel its awesome power, and then.... They're butt ugly! They look just like LV30 Centurion's Finger Gauntlet.

the BCNM isn't as hard as people make it out to be. I went tonight with DRG/WHM, PLD and RDM. It takes a while, but the fight can be won with this set-up. We ended up losing because refresh wore on our rdm, then on the pld, and lastly on me. We couldn't cure anymore, and ended up dieing. If refresh had lasted on our RDM we would have won. Like I said though, the fight will take a while. I plan on saving up another 50 seals and taking down this tiger.

These gloves are obtainable if you feel like throwing 50 beastman seals at it. The BCNM fight is in Holaris Peak, named the eye of the tiger. This fight is fukin hard... i went with me (DRG)
a RDM, and a NIN. The single tiger debuffed the nin, then paralyzed us with roar, then made sweet sweet love with the nin while rdm was paralyzed and kept trying to cure III. He claw cycloned and had his way with me..then turned to rdm and molested him as well. This tiger is evil. if your planning on going, i hope you have better luck than me. I plan on trying again, cause my DRG really needs them and they are already 1.5mil but none on stock. Good luck to ya, hope this helps.

They are real i know some1 on siren server who has 1 of the 5 only pairs he paid 1 mill for them...im still trying to get them myself im thinking of doing a bcnm50 soon... ok so far what i have gathered is this they drop from bcnm 50 in giddeus from what im told its a fight against 6 raptors any REAL info on these would be apprciated from ppl who have gotten this drop still unsure on which orb to use any for sure answers out there ?

I've only seen them once, which was in an xp pt in Valley of Sorrows, there was this War there by the name of Alsirius, or some such name, he was JP and had bad ass armor, I think he bought them off the AH for ~800K, which is well worth the price in my oppinion.

A 2nd pair was put up and sold for 2 million gil a little while after the first, there are still only 2 ever listed on the AH, however...

Apparently these drop from the new Lv. 50 BCNM "Eye Of The Tiger" in Horlais Peak. NM Tiger fight. Also drops Storm Gorget, Rush Gloves, and other new Lv. 50 gear. These are great for DRG! ^^;

I am on ifrit server and there is a pair of these in the AH atm. They have not been sold yet, so there is no price I can give you. Once they do sell(chances are I'll pay for them)... Going for 600K on Siren 3 sold so far still no idea where they are coming from though.

As this is added by Auto-collection, they are probably hard-coded into the game files, but noone knows how to obtain them/craft them yet, OR they have yet to be made available in the game proper...
I highly doubt they are real =\ I'm on Alexander server and have yet to see these. Being a level 55, you would think that I would see at least ONE in a party. Hope to find out weather they are fake or not. I'll do some research tonight.

Well Naz :) I think these aren't fake, but aren't real either. What I mean is, I believe they are coded into the game, but as of yet, have not been 'released' to us, so we cannot use them yet.
