was farming manta skins on a friends acc and i decided to park my 60war at the entrance, about 1hr into camping it pops, i kill it and get the axe :D
ToD on valefor is 11:06am in case anyone wants to kill it

It's a really good weapon, and I used it on DRK. The night ACC is noticeable for sure, and allowed eating meat easy. It will just be even more potent on WAR.
Peg Powler took about 8 hours for me to spawn. I don't think he is a 21-24hr NM, however his time frame is very high, probably something around the 6hr-12hr mark. Mine popped down near the bone graveyard, where you enter the room from.

17 hours of straight camping. no sleeping allowed. got gaxe and pearl. 100% drop anyways. it seems he always spawns close to the big rib cage no matter who u kill to pop him.

I camped this NM With my 75 Drg/whm Using my Npc Whm version. I camped for 3hrs or so. Now this may not be true i read on atlas that it is a loto pop from the mantas. But it seems to pop in night time. Again this info may not be anywhere accurate. And yes this Axe is very nice. Sepcialy if your the non Cookie Cutter War.

When I got this Me and a DRG friend were killing the manta's in the area just messing about when the DRG says "NM!" we decide to attack it (we were lvl 60ish if I remember correct) I die and a 72ish BST/WHM raised me and joined our group and had his pet Toroama kill Peg. quite easily I might say...anyways thats Me in the pic ^^

For the reason it's spelt in German,

The axe in english is Black Axe. Hope this helps.
EDIT: Black is something to do with night E.G Black sky, so that's my reason for it having a Nighttime effect

i camped this thing for 8 hours then at 7 whm, comes starts fishing i ask him questions he seems to know everything about nms in LoO he says this thing as 1 true place holder when killed it repops in a dif area in G-7 should take u about 3-4 hours pop it i went as 70 nin and it was cake (Note: it does have around 10k hp but it wasnt tough at all i took no dmg)

I wonder if I should use this instead of the Heavy Darksteel Axe. This has a lower delay, and the +10 acc at night, along with the elemental resistances make it a great choice, but the Heavy Darksteel is only marginally slower(by 25 delay and thats only about half a second) and has 5 more base damage then this. I want to say this - it's seems more fun and can last me awhile.

Just got this "Axt" and WOW. About a 4 hour camp and pop...... 9 people died. I died 3 times, but finally got it. Final PT was smn61/whm30, bst60/whm30, war57/nin28, and a whm75/blm37 with a friend rdm75/blm37 quickly came over and showed it a lesson. Very nice and people love to examine you 2-3 times after seeing the power of the Schwarz. /cheer
