this key is infact used for the PM fight in the mineshaft but what ppl don't know is you use the after the fight after to have been back to cid in bastok than you gotta come back to the shaft trade key for a c/s then back to cid again for the c/s that ends this section of 5-3

Just solo'd to get my key as well as RDM. BLM sub job for warp when I was done as well. RDM is 75 so its nothing hard.

Anyway, using this map:

I zoned into Newton at (J-8) entrance. Says 1 on that map. When you zone in there will be to bugbears sitting in the way, and down the ramp will be another bugbear and a Goblin Lengthman.

I simply kept killing the Lengthman. Due to the new patch if you zone a mob after its slept it will depop so trying to avoid the other mobs isnt gunna happen.

Kill the two bugbears by sleeping one and zoning the other. Sleep the one where they spawn though.

Run back in and the other shouldnt have repop'd yet, pull the other back toward the zone and kill it first, then get the other.

Then your free to grab the other area while they wait to repop.

Got it on my 3rd kill of the Goblin Lengthman.

Walked out with:
- Gold Key
- Sylvan Stone
- 3x Kindred Seals
- 1x Beastman Seal

And about 2-3k exp, not to shabby :D

I'm ¿clueless? as tö when òr where in that 5-3 missiõn tô use this thingy(assuming that õther pôst is cõrrect/prôlly is), but hey... it was önly 10k in sóme dude's bazaar, sõ I'll either tôss it fór the sake òf space ôr use it in that mine shaft. Hell, I dunnõ. LØL

Found 1 off a Moblin Yardman in newton.

As far as I can tell, this key most likely has something to do with Mine Shaft #2716. I have been there, however, and not much is in the shaft. There was only one thing there -- a Shaft Entrance. I tried trading my key to the Shaft Entrance, to no avail. I may not be far enough in the COP missions to use this key, if that is what it is for (I'm not even done with promys). This may be part of one of the later missions for COP.

Note that it is Rare but not Exclusive, so you can trade it... but, why? This key is still one of those unsolved mysteries for me.

if anybody knows what this does can u please let us know, ive seen these in bazaars for crazy amounts like 20k up to 100k and im sure its not worth that much

I think it unlocks the Gold chest that gives you the matching daisy dukes to go with your uber tube top.
