soloed emerald as 75 war/nin, never got hit
used mithkabob before killing first, and before leaveing beadeaux it wore so it took me around 30min, + there were 2 drk killing them at the time as well

took me 2.5 hours of killing everything up top before I got my first bottle to drop off an emerald. I got at least 5 chest keys though >.>
The last 2 bottles I needed dropped within the next hour (also emerald)
So it took me 3.5 hours to get 3 bottles, and that was with THF sub.
The Emerald's are located in the I to L section of the map, on the upper levels.
On the plus side, the Emerald is a placeholder for the NM that drops Valkry Mask, so be on the look out for that.

i was messing around in beadeaux yesterday and i got this in drop.... from an elder quadav, i killed a couple more elders and i've gotten one more. So as far as i can tell ur better off killin elder quads to get this.

The dude at the outpost says that he wants them before the day after tomarrow so i am guessing this is a "timed quest"! &I just spent alot of itime killing Emrald's in Beadeaux & got no drops (had a Lv75 thf with me she had Assain's armlet's & a Thief's Knife), I think i failed the quest...

i actually think this quest isn't timed, its been a while since i activated the "outpost gate" Cutscene, and i returned to it a few weeks later and i talked to it and nothing happened... usually you're told that you have failed it if you come back to the npc, but it is reactivatable (like the rycharde quest, need dhalmel meat and a beehive chip i believe)

You must have completed the Promathia mission Vessel Without a Captain before you can start this quest. Go and talk to Nevela (G-7) in Upper Jeuno. Then go to Bastok Mines and talk to Wobke (I-9) in the chocobo stables.
Next, go to the Pashhow Marshlands Outpost. When you get there, examine the "Outpost Gate" to get a cutscene.
You will need to get three Warding Oils from Emerald Quadavs in Beadeaux or Castle Zvahl. Once you've obtained three oils, head back to the Outpost in Pashhow Marshlands.
Once again, click on the "Outpost Gate" for another cutscene. Once this is over, head back to Bastok Mines to speak again with Wobke.
Head to Batallia Downs. Examine a ??? on a headstone at location (H-6). This will spawn 5 NM tigers called Badshah. Even at 75, these are pretty difficult to solo without Sleep or Utsusemi.
Once they've been defeated, re-examine the ??? to get the key item: Silver Comet's collar.
Return to Upper Jeuno and speak again with Nevela. This will trigger another cute cutscene and the quest will end.

this might be obvious to some, but it wasn't to me from reading the above walkthru. once you have all 3 oils, you don't just click on the gate again. you need to target the gate and then trade the oils. i tried clicking, zoning and clicking, waiting another day, zoning and clicking and nothing. finally it occured to me to trade and then i got the next cutscene.

Completed quest even without reading the walkthriugh lol. I never knew it existed. Pretty straight forward quest. Posted a pic of the [ex] warding oil. Goddam 45+ emerald quadav for 3x drops :/

first u talk to the girl next to the stairs to auction house at upper jeuno for cutscene. then go to bastok and talk to the lady at chocobo stables. then go to outpost at marshllow. click on the outpost gate for a cutscene. the man asked for 3 oil. didn't finish it yet. going to get the oil later and finish it. cop is required i believe, finished cop mission 2 so do'nt know if u need to finish cop mission 1 first
