Not available at Cooking Guild...?
# Nov 07 2007 at 12:24 PM Rating: Decent
I don't think Chomo Jinjahl (cooking guild vendor) has this anymore... I've been up and down the shop buy list about ten times now and Hare Meat isn't there.

The price of hare meat seems to be very high for such a low level item as well (1k on siren), so that also suggests it's no longer available from vendors.

Reckon I'm going to have to step outside Windhurst and farm it myself...

Only way you could see this in Guild Shop is if someone sold it to the guild
Any NPCs Selling This?
# Mar 21 2005 at 11:09 AM Rating: Decent
Aren't there any NPCs that sell Hare Meat? lol I'm tired of farming it or buying it from AH. >_<

no, there aren't, i haven't checked the cooking guild in windy yet, but you'll have to battle with guild campers there. a very easy way of farming this , at a reasonably high level (ie above 14) in thf nin rng or anything else with a throwing weapon that does a lot of damage is to simply avoid using attack. just throw em to death, no ammo used either. also i have had it drop in w ronfaure.

These are also sold from vendors, at least at the cooking guild. A lot cheaper than from AH, too. ^^

hmm i looked for it at the cooking guild and didnt see it listed. perhaps it's for windurstians only or windurst must have 1st place. Oh well i can still profit on meatballs even paying 1k on the AH for meat

not true, I saw Hare Meat at the Windy Cooking Guild selling for 63 gil each just today. There was only 5 of them in stock though. Windy was in Second, and I had lvl 3 Windy Fame.

Maybe someone sold them to the guild... (then again, I always thought the guild only accepted items they normally sold).

stack

this item does stack. They sell them at the AH in stacks of 12. I know cuz I bought 3 stacks to make meatballs.
The most disturbing thing......
# Feb 08 2004 at 3:19 AM Rating: Decent
...is that you can STEAL the meat from rabbits/hares/rarabs....
Are the drop zones accurate for Hare meat?

Has anyone had this drop in -West- Ronfaure? I killed well over 100 Forest Hares without a single slice of meat (plenty of hides though) ... but got it reasonably easily in East Ronfaure.

I'm starting to think sir numps may be right about the west ronafure thing. I've gotten 2 stacks of hides and yet to see 1 hare meat. Going to try east ronafure now.

I farmed the level 5 bunnies for sandy fame, i don't believe the level 1 bunnies drop the meat, just like level 1 bees don't drop beehive chips ;)

Forgive my stupidity, but I've tried to eat raw meat with no success. Is there something I am missing?

I have a feeling that you have to be of a specific race to eat it raw. I know for a fact there were fish that only mithra could eat raw.
Tsk...
