I don't see this mentioned here, but I just learned (since I needed 357 points to break it [and I got 57 points in Dynamis tonight]) that you cannot use your weapon and expect to gain points for it in Dynamis. They will not count towards your goal sadly.

I've yet to quest this on my Cor, because I have a little to go in capping marksmanship first. But I can tell you this: 3 skills per lvl I've gotten all the way to endgame. I should be capping at around 244 at 75. So, apparently, I can't get this.

Well good news for COR, they have a B rating in MMS so at 75 it will cap at 250. So if they can definitly use the Gun of Trials then they can get Detonator.

Corsair can apparently use this too. They can also use the Sword and Dagger ones, which means they could do a self-light SC with an Icarus Wing (Savage Blade -> Icarus Wing -> Detonator = Light). And here SAMs and WHMs were the only jobs that used to be able to do a self-light this way, to my knowledge. :(

Samurai Roll + Sharpshot + Detonator + Savage Blade + Ranged Attack + Wait for attack round + Detonator = Light. No 2hr or Icarus Wing needed. Joyeuse is, though.

The mob fight is in Boyoda Tree in a tunnel, second Map, G-10 area. Many of us leveled in this area of processionaires <sp> lvls 62-66 ish. Wanted to know what the ??? is for there? Now you know.
The mob is a fly, and he was no sweat with a party of 5 70-75. Got a little close at one point, but we have all partied together numerous times. I would suggest a party set up like you normally would have to take on darters. A whm or /whm is important as the darters like to spam Poinson.

yea, the GUN is lvl 71, but you have to be lvl 72, since you can't go over 249 as lvl 71 rng.

Just a quick question, Who exactly do I speak with to get this. I know all about what I need to get it, what I need it for, and how I get The Weaponskill afterwards. I just need to know Who I talk to in the First place that gives me the Gun. Any and All help is Much appreciated.

As all trial weapons, get lvl 71 and ur weapon skill 250+, then talk to quest giver an they give u a new weapon. Get points with this weapon by closing skillchains. Get 300 points, kill a nm, and u get your final ws for that weapon.
