I have it, it's nice. Took about 9+months to get. Didn't buy gil for it. Was chosen by linkshell to recieve it. Linkshell is working on GTK next. If you have to buy gil your a *****.

Yeah, your LS helps, and i didn't see you say "thanks" you just make fun of people who buy Currency. While you don't lift a finger, and your LS does the work, If you did it on your own then you can talk like that

*******!

Are you in his linkshell? How do you know he didn't thank them? I doubt his linkshell would have even considered him as a candidate for it if he "didn't lift a finger". And yeah he's grateful for it, he said he couldn't wait to get it.

Congrats paddleout, it does seem like a very nice lance.

Dude, try sounding a little grateful. It's Nice???. Its the best dam polearm in the game. An excellent weapon to have. Maybe if you had to do it the hard way by yourself you would appreciate it more. You are super lucky that you have a shell that is focused on getting a relic fully upgraded. 9+ months. DAAAAAM. I don't want to tell you after my calculations how long it will take me to get mine IF I can stomach it lol. Congrads on gettin it. Not hatin on you, but if it was me that was able to get it that fast, I would say a lil more then it's nice and thankin my shell for gettin it done.

# Dec 10 2006 at 10:01 PM Rating: Decent
I agree. Try getting another upgraded relic like that on your own without your LS doing it for you and then you can talk your smack.

Yes, There are DRG's that do have this weapon. The player i know that has it has had it for a year or more now. Refer to Kaluga-Caitsith Server.
Me, I just got my relic lance and i'm long way from getting it myself
hmm

frankly SE should boost the drop rate of currency and Job specific drops relating to weapon upgrades, such a attestations since they cant be proffited from.

You blame it on SE making this stuff so hard to get. I blame the players, no one told the people with the Dynamis money to jack up the prices as much as it is.

Because of this though, last upgrade relic weapons cost about 2-3 billion gil to get.

Thanx to all the greedy people out there.

You wonder why dynamis money costs so much? consider that you have to pay 1mil for every single time you want to enter Dynamis. The players are just trying to not go broke while getting their relic...And if you have a decent shell, with hard work and effort you can collect the necessary currency over time. A bit late, but I just needed to say that.

1mil for an hourglass that you can duplicate accross a LS, With the cap on the ammount of people, its like 16k Per person. So when you sell a 100 byne bill for 4mil each. Some LS's start to get quite a big fund.

The relic weapons all have hidden attributes as well, you should know.
RE: Not too great

Could you possibly tell me these hidden attributes, i really wanna know what this is capable of!
RE: Not too great
# Mar 03 2006 at 5:49 PM Rating: Decent
Critical hit ratio x3
Relic WS's have hidden effects (differs from weapon to weapon. Gate of Tartarus gives Refresh, Knights of Round gives Regen)
Very POWERFUL additional effect. More so than spell equivalents usually. Added effect on Mandau is an extremely powerful Poison, added effect on Excalibur can deal 1/4 of your HP in hate-free damage.
RE: Not too great
# May 08 2006 at 9:19 PM Rating: Decent
So what is Gungnir's hidden effect? and/or the hidden effect of the WS?

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
In Norse mythology, Gungnir (also Gungni or Gungner) was the name of Odin's spear. The spear's name means "Swaying One". It was built by a dwarf named Dvalin. It was obtained from the dwarves by Loki as a partial reparation for the theft of Sif's hair. It has the practical characteristic of always hitting its target, and when thrown will always returns to hand.

It is represented by the runic symbol, Gar.

Ahhh.. thats not exactly what wikipedia says... Ex: the name in english actually means "Unwavering One" not.. Swaying one?? just a heads up on the facts

I think Wikipedia is confusing Gungnir with Mjolnir, Thor's hammer. Gungnir did always hit the target, according to Norse myth, but Mjolnir is the one that always returned to the hand when thrown. Gungnir had the ability to slay an entire army when thrown. I, of course, could very well be mistaken, so any posted corrections would be appreciated.

One is more prone to throw a spear, as that is one of the weapons' practical uses in battle.

# Sep 30 2005 at 10:22 AM Rating: Excellent
Gungnir is the spear that the original dragoon Kain, from Final Fantasy 2 comes equiped with when he returns to your party after defecting from Golbez and the forces of evil. In case any of you all were wondering.

Gungnir, not sure of pronunciation i always have said Gun gah nur.

Well anyway it the spear that Odin used and would always strike its target. It gets used in alot of things just like Mjollnir which is Thors Hammer.
RE: name
# Oct 19 2005 at 8:06 AM Rating: Excellent
In norwegian it's pronounced goong-neer ^^
