Crane Flies
# May 11 2004 at 9:42 PM Rating: Decent
I'd have to say the Crane Flies are your best bet for farming these if you're doing it for someone else, or for your mule. I'd imagine they are less camped, as I've never met another person out there, and the drop rate is quite consistent.

However, I do strongly recommend that you bring Poisona, or lots of Antidotes. Venom sucks.
go to the mountains for grass farming

I farmed both locations. It seems like the Crane Flies have the best drop rate for these grasses, even when treasure hunter is subbed. If you got a high level person with you when you're grass farming, farming them for the 4 grasses needed for chocobo quest should go very quick.

Killing Crane Flies in Meriphataud Mountains... took me less then 34minutes to get 12 clumps of this grass, no big deal. Drops very often.

btw.. no treasure hunter or anything.

Loc in Wadi
# Feb 05 2004 at 6:11 AM Rating: Excellent
These were fairly easy to find in the Wadi. I farmed for 4 hours and got 9 of them and 2 stacks of hair meat (1k in Bastok:Leviathan).

First, the location to find them is 7-G, in the room with the ???. Just kill all the hares, heal, rinse, repeat.

I typically found them between 0:00-6:00 although I did find some during other hours, but this is when I had the best turnout avg about 2 between that time period.

The reason they are dropped here is because you have to trade Gausebit with the ??? to make a NM appear for a Ninja quest, so naturally the hairs will drop them in this room. ;)

Chocobo License
# Dec 23 2003 at 6:27 PM Rating: Decent
Please be informed that to get the License, you need to be level 20 on your 1st job. Subsequence job level required to ride is level 15. And for every 1 game hour is equivalent to 3 earth minutes.

While you're right that each game hour is about 3 minutes, you need to feed the chocobo on 6 different (not necessarily consecutive) game days. This means that the choco quest will take you at least 4 hours (assuming you feed the first time just before midnight on the first day and just after midnight on the last).
