Confirmed. I spend all darksday trying to get this quest done, got one gem. Then suddenly got 2 in a row, checked the moon, turns out firesday had just arrived! Moon was at an insignificant progression.
Then i got all 5 i needed by 6:00
So, seems firesday is the day to go farm these up. Plan accordingly and confirm good drop rates if accurate.
Besides the Venerer ring quest, do these have any other use? Can they be synthesized into anything? Or desynthed? These go for 20k per stack on the Odin server.
Was hunting Wuur the Sandcomber in Sea Serpent Grotto and came across these gems in there. These are dropped by Pond, Spring, and Lake Sahagins in that area.

That is Pathetic. Seriously you think for as Good Venerer Ring the prices will ever drop also with all that you have to do to get this quest done. Many people find the 100-400k rather cheap

I hear they are used for the quest to get the new lvl 30 rings that are like sniper rings..you need 4....its just hear say but it is something. try it..im not sure on the npc that the quest is started by...hope this helps.
