This is 2mil on Garuda.

It seems you can either spend between 60-120 seals for it, or you can pay 2mil. I had only 23 seals, and 2.1mil, so the choice was obvious for me. However, if you should happen to have the seals, that might be an option too.

Hello this is my first post on Allakazam and I didn't want it to be spam so here goes.

The Notorious Monster Fight IS easy but all it takes is ONE mistake and it's all over. Our set up was Nin/war , Blm/whm (me), and Whm/blm. All gear was below average(seers gear etc) except me with my one proud astral and blm af gear. So gear isn't important for people in the back nor is buffing up except Protect and shell. Ninja literally just keeps shadows throughout to make it an easy claim.

The fight consists of Elemental Seal+silence from white mage(who keeps stona and paralyna and silence off ninja at all times) then I enfeebled it with poison, bio, choke, frost, but not shock as lightning doesn't effect Coeurl types so Thunder was out. I started with small spells to gauge it's reaction then moved up. Only spammed ice, aero, and stone for good results. Healed Ninja rarely. Rested at 100mp left used a yagudo drink and marron glace for quick mp regen. 2hr the end and Freeze for great dmg then quake, then an aero III we were done.

Treasure: Penitent's Rope.

I hope this helps and good luck to anyone trying for this. ~Guiltfeeder (Ramuh server)

Previous sales on Quetz.. range from 1.8 mil..
last sale was 1.9 mil earlier today 10/17/05.

someone tried for 1,950,000 gil ... no sale.
Why must people jack the price?!!?
why is greed so bad.. /sigh

maybe I'll start charging higher prices for PL's and Raise I and II's .. and tele's .. and warp II's .. and .. and... and....

truth be told I give most tele's for free, except when I'm actually "farming" gil.. AFAIK I've never charged for a Raise or a warp..
I've never accepted pymnt for a power leveling session.. I've helped people that are camping NM's and gotten claim over me.. (curing them when they get in trouble) The prices are bad enough for the uber gear.. and people love to complain about them.. but everyone jacks the price whenever they can for the extra chump change.. this is PISSIN me off...

06/02/05 - 2 million on Asura - I think this is the end-game belt for a BLM when COMBINED with the Hierch Belt at 71. I have a macro that switches out AF for Seer's Tunic and Dark Staff (and then, belt) then another so when I stand, I get Coat and Ice Staff back.

MND is important for a BLM but I think its int that is the important part. Drain/Aspir is completely INT based. Our damage is *NOT* capped like a WHM cure spell is (with only like 1-3 with a ton of MND) and I have noticeably tried to find out. With +25 int (Phantom Earring, Moldavite Earring, BLM AF, Merc. Cap Belt, Red Cape +1, Morian Tathlum, Ice Staff, Neckerchief, and food) I can easily do 996 dmg with Freeze with no magic burst. I stripped butt naked after healing and tried again. 880...big difference, if you ask me.

Emnity -3 can always help. Even the best paladins can loose hate on occasion and anything to keep some hate off us is good. If this had +20 MP on it, it would be perfect.

Now to get my last 19 seals and try this BCNM...

Cure Spells can be uncapped by having enough MND >.> also Cure V (level 61) and Curaga IV are uncapped, and MND has a much greater effect on Cure potency then Skill. So IMO this piece is more ideal for WHM/BLM so when they fall back on that ES Sleepthe INT helps, or when using any Black Enfeeblements. But the MND helps with White Enfeeblements and higher levelled Cure Spells.

The Class that would probably most benefit from this however is probably RDM whom use INT and MND the most and lack -enmity gear.

Oh, I understand that +int is for the damage, but having +5mnd is what made me wanna spend the 2mil for this over something else that might have been cheaper. The int is there, having the +mnd for the resisting is just a very nice bonus.

Oh, and if you don't believe me, get a brd and ask for Logical Entude (mnd up) and see how much you get resisted.

Ok. I am a 63 BLM on Fairy and I just bought this for 2mil. (god damn fairy ><)

BLM uses INT for damage (everyone knows this) but MND helps in getting spells resisted. More MND, the less mobs will resist your spells. MP at my level is nice, but I'd rather have the INT, MND and -enmity from this than 45MP from RSE belt. (60MP belt is lvl 70 anyway :/)

Best BLM/WHM/RDM/SMN belt. At this level, 45MP isn't even a lvl 2 nuke :/ I'd rather have this belt than RSE belt.

Wrong... MND has NOTHING to do with your spells getting resisted... its even debatable if INT affects resists... show me some proof, tests, something. You dont see BLMs going around loading up on MND gear do you? Elemental Magic Skill is the ONLY proven stat that affects resists. Please dont give out false information
RE: BLM INT and MND
# Sep 28 2005 at 2:53 PM Rating: Decent
Int doesn't affect resists?

LMFAO!!!

It's not something to debate. Once I hadn't equipped my Zircons (was doing some farming so had Balance rings on of all things). My nukes were being resisted and doing lots less damage to IT's. Rings on, back to full power.

INT = Damage, Accuracy of your spells.

NO!

INT affects damage, Elemental Magic Skill affects resists. Lowering your target's MND will also lower resists.

RE: BLM INT and MND
# Jun 15 2006 at 3:23 AM Rating: Good
/sigh Int affects spell damage. Lowering your targets Int will make nukes hit harder therefore being resisted less. Mnd will help paralyze slow ect... stck more effectivly. So all a Blm should be concerned with is Int, unless no rdm to enfeeble then might want mnd gear for enfeebling then swap int to nuke

I never have been huge on gear that gives me plus to MP. Being a RDM is all about being able to refresh dispell and land my enfeebles. The more intel and mnd that I have the more effective my enfeebles are giving me more time to concintrate on other things like refresh dispel and haste. I guess this would be an OK belt for a BLM too as the -3 to enmity is nice, but the +5 to MND is just not really all to important for BLM. Not the case for the RDM. Most of my enfeebs that I cast every fight or close to every fight are all MND based. Slow, paralyze, and silence are all affected by MND. I think gravity is the only inteligence based enfeeb that I consistently use since PLD's cast flash taking care of blind. +5 to intel and +5 to MND. YES please! I just bought mine too.....im a 59 RDM and gone through two weeks of mining in movopolos and ifrits to get this SOB! Now I just need to get 10k more exp and I have two reason to hit 60...the other being a certain hat =P.

Nice but not required at all
# Feb 27 2005 at 1:03 AM Rating: Decent
This is a nice belt for BLM though I can't find the justification for spending 1 million on it. +5 INT does not do much of notice 60+ and the -3 Enmity is only useful if your tank sucks (static PLD is awesome so this might be more useful for pickup parties). Actually thinking of selling this back and either investing the gil into Clothcraft or just leveling other jobs for fun.
RE: Nice but not required at all
# Aug 09 2005 at 11:27 PM Rating: Decent
- enmity is needed alot more than just if you have a poor tank, i have had hate pulled from me just from the - enmity no provoke no nothing, and int and mnd is always a good thing, more mp is useless with a good rdm i have no problem starting with 700+ mp each fight.

My experience as a Mithra BLM has told me this. Once I hit over 55, just about all I do in pt is Ancient Magic-Magic Burst skillchains. Burst, heal, burst heal. Quite redundent really. Note I said JUST ABOUT. I can, do, and will take on other rolls as the different party situations call for them. However, the burst-heal trend is noticeable.

I didn't notice a difference in adding INT as a lower level BLM and as a mithra, I concentrated more on MP. But as I slipped more and more into the cast, heal, cast, heal, I found adding more INT and more (-) Enmity gear to help more. I can still pull hate sometimes, and it has nothing to do with whether or not the tank is good. Much more to do with me not paying enough attention, or counting off enough time in between spells. BLMs are some of the biggest damage dealers and hate keeping is a delicate balance of teamwork amongst the party.

As for this costing a million or better? It's kind of cruel, since we just got hit with all the ancient magic and level 60 seems to bar a need for upgraded gear, even if you haven't really been doing so before then. But we'll deal, move on, and replace if need be later (hello rse belts).

Quote:
blm's who wear full AF suck compared to the ones who go after the best gear

That hurts, especially as a lvl 60 blm who has yet to go after her AF hat. The enmity subtractions are there to help the tank keep hate, not give the blm license to let loose with spells. The MP boosts are nice enough to allow me to focus more on INT boosting equipment in rings and earrings, etc. and delve out more damage. And until relic and/or BLM JSE like the Igqira stuff, there just isn't a whole lot of good armor out there for us without spending tons of gil that we may not have (yay for broke blm mithra!).

Maybe it's just me. Maybe I don't understand much about the game. But this is how I have come to the conclusions about my character and my job.

While achent magic is fun to see, and often see it in partys 50-52, after that partys tell blms to use -ga or strong single nukes for MB. Not to mention its a huge pain for the melee to time SCs.
#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 27 2005 at 5:37 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) heres your justification, blm's who wear full AF suck compared to the ones who go after the best gear, if all you wear from AF is the gloves, the _3 emnity from this rope will put you at -4, much better. not to mention this is end-game gear for blm....in other words, waist accesories don't get any better than this for blm.

+5 INT and -3 enmity make this the best BLM belt as long as you're a Tarutaru and don't need MP boost from RSE belts. (not bad for a WHM either) 1.250.000 gils on midgardsormr.

Generally, for RDM and BLM, INT/MND is more important than MP. For WHM and SMN, MP is most important.
RE: Excellent belt

Just so you know that MP is not "most" important for WHMs. MND is.

Not really. MND does a few things:

1) Cure Potency (which caps at certain numbers, except for Cure V)
2) White Magic Debuff Stick Rate, Potency, and Duration (which, after a certain level, you won't be able to stick most debuffs anyway)
3) Stoneskin Potency (more MND = stronger Stoneskin, but the effect isn't that significant)
4) Magic Defense (but a WHM shouldn't be getting hit by much magic during exp)

MP is much more important than MND for WHM because it allows for casting more spells. MND is a secondary stat for WHMs.
#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 21 2005 at 11:20 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Correction Mnd will always be the number one thing for whitemages. I pity the whitemages who focus on MP. If your spells are not used to the fullest might as well not use em.

MND will affect the WHM debuffs such as Paralyze and Slow (theoretically Silence also, but I haven't seen facts on this). For a Taru, MND is important if you will be debuffing instead of a RDM.

However, if you are any other race, you should be focusing on MP to make up for your disadvantage against Tarus. OF COURSE this (like everything else) is situational, a generalization. Go to the WHM forum for ample, plentiful, and endless discussion on this topic.

MND and MP is also important to whm ^^;

which is most important?
depend on party, MP if rdm exist

remeber one thing, u are in party, not solo ^^;

btw , u should have 2 set of armor, 1 set MND boost, 1 set MP boost

RE: Excellent belt
# Nov 28 2005 at 11:45 AM Rating: Decent
Trying to argue whether MND or MP is more important to a WHM (or any mage for that matter, MP vs. INT/MND) is pointless. It's obviously beneficial to all mages to have as much MP as possible, but after ur first few spells that MAX MP is meaningless, so all MND gear should be in. And if u dont have multiple sets of gear, as this post above me mentioned, u should look into that...
