In Dynamis-Bastok, wearing Briault, casting both barstonra and barpetra on my party...
I was stoned for all of 3 seconds from Breakga.

I'm fairly sure the resistance is random, but otherwise it definitely does boost your own resistance gained from any Bar- -ra spell you cast.

if you found out what the "Increase effect of elemental resistance spells" means could you please share it with me ^^.
got it for a while and i still cant say what it does...
Well i did notice that, in Dynamis, Mijin Gakure "seems" to kill less people when a whm cast barfira with the B.Briault than in the other parties (with a whm without B.Briault)... but well people keep trying to kill the nin mobs asap so they dont explode on us.. so i dont get to try it alot.
this effect is on of the few unknown effect on equipement. We really need to discover how it works!,

Perhaps the bar-element series.
It does increase the bar-elemental spells. They work not only more effectantly but last longer then the normal ones that wear after only a minute or so.

Does anyone know if there is a head piece to go with the Blessed set? All of the other JSE sets appear to have them, but I can't find it listed anywhere for the WHM set.

Being a lv. 71 whm with this set, there isn't a head piece of this set as far as I have been able to tell. Just body, hands, legs, and feet... which is abit odd, both BLM and RDM JSE's @ lv. 70+ have head pieces...

So I made on of these last night.
So far I am 1/3 on this. First time I broke both the Galateia's (lvl 90 +1), Second attempt I broke the Velvet Cloth and Rainbow cloth. Got lucky on that one (lvl 93 +1). So I tried again and bingo third time was the charm. Looking at continuing clothcraft beyond 94 seems to be realy bothersome. I have 1 item at 100 and this is it so I have to make alot of these to make it to 100. This is gonna suck it was hard enough getting enough cloth to make the set let alone to skill up on. I have a feeling im going to know alot more whm's in the near future.
Worst part is im 63 and cant wear it yet ><

The "Increase effect of elemental resistance spells" is still a mystery to most WHM.
Based on my own testing, it does appear to increase resists of you and your party from bar-element-ra spells. This is not the same as the +20 elemental resist you get from AF2 which increases the strength of your resistance.
Pots in Sky has a nifty AoE move called mysterious light and I've noticed that with this on, they do about 1/2 to 1/3 damage. But it needs more testing.

i just tried casting baraero and checking my equip. my air resistance went up 72 points. ill edit this post once ive tried with the briault.

I just got this thing over the weekend and it is great! I traded in my Vermillion Cloak for this so I could wear my Zenith Crown, and I like the MP boost I get from this item. I sent a SS today, so I hope they pick mine for the fashion shot (I am a galka). I think it looks pretty spiffy on me =D I sure do miss the auto-refresh though, but I am holding out for AF2 or Dalmatica (probably have a better chance at AF2) but its still a nice piece of gear for any WHM.

can anyone tell me what the "increases effects of elemental resistance spells" does. I have this body piece, and it doesn't change the actual stat of the spell. I get 83 defense from a bar element spell with or w/o it.
