You're point? You can make anything that's within 15 levels of your current skill level.

8 - 0 = 8... 8 < 15... you can make this.

Got to love these people that buy the stuff out and sell them in AH. Get a clue people. The more it costs to make the item the more it will sell for in AH. Your only hurting yourselfs in the end. Sorry I'm just in a ranting mood. Have a nice day. :)

lol you know whats really funny

maybe someone has 19 or 39 or 59 skill and are HQing these and reselling them for a profit. I know its unlikely cause there are better items to HQ but its better than assuming they are all idiots

did the same thing with Bee chips to Beeswax in jeuno till the price went up to 20k a stack

being only on HQ teir 3 and having 30%HQ rate i cant afford to HQ them anymore and have bad days

i used to make about 10-12k a stack that i HQed but the price went up and its not worth it anymore

Either way HQing low level sh*t is a sometimes profitable way to make cash to fuel your skill ups later on.

All guild shops have a "Stock" so to speak. Certain items come back at the beginning of the sales day. Arrowwood Lumber and Most low level lumbers regenerate at the beginning of the sales period. Other high level things (Such as Ebony Logs) take anywhere from two days to a week in game. I'm not very sure if regional merchants have this same thing, but all guild shops have this...I bet there is even a limit to the number of basic materials you can buy as well...although personally, I've never seen Arrowwood logs greyed out.

Personally I perfer the Regional vendor for norvallen(SP?) as long as it isn't under beastman control you should be able to purchase arrowwood in an unlimited supply for cheaper than guild. however when it is beastman controlled you will find that the guild does sell out of arrowwood lumber first then logs. since you have to wait for a second before another purchase the guild wont sell out as fast as the lumber does but it can/will sell out. The logs sell for 200-500 in AH and i can only laugh. Most of the time sandy owns this region and the vendor is a few steps from south sandy AH. oh and a naked character with 30 slots free cannot buy out all the arrowwood logs in one trip/alone, think there is like 50 sold on any given day. check the norvallen region on saturday and stock up on the logs if you see the beastmen are coming, lumber will cost 2-5x as much during that week.
As far as ash logs go I am pretty sure I have seen these sold by vendors as well, but will have to investigate further. Thinking perhaps one of the vendors on the airship docks, (rank 5 or higher) or one of the regional vendors.

Ok, I go to the carpenter guild with enough money on me and it won't let me buy ash lumber, just ash logs. What's up with that?

It's because they don't have in stock. Come back the day after, he may have repleinsh his stuck, since quantities of certains items are limited

(else everyone would buy, let say, sheep skin from the tanner to sell them 2x the price at the aunction...)
Anonymous, Posted: Dec 7th 2003 7:00pm, Score: Sub-Default, [expand] haha ummm no .. npcs do not have a "stock" this is either 1. somebody's typo and the two said items are the same thing or 2. try mixing ash logs with wind crystal to make ash lumber .. my guess is #1
Anonymous, Posted: Dec 12th 2003 12:57pm, Score: Sub-Default, [expand] Actually, on my server Midgardsormr, the npcs do have a kind of "stock", the price goes up as more are bought, until you cant buy any more. The ones at the guild are like 10-30 gil per copper ore, but because of the limited supply, they go for 100-200 at the AH, i once got all of the copper ore when the new day started and got lots of gil that way... so it may just be different for your server or something

You are absolutely incorrect... sort of. When talking about normal NPC shops, you're right, there is no "stock". When talking about guild supplies, though, there is a defined amount that they will sell. The amount they have in stock also directly affects the price. Copper ore, for instance, can range from between 8 and 18 gil per ore, but once it reaches 18 and is bought out, no more can be bought until the stock is replenished.
