can be extraced from the sheild that quads drop
The drop rate seems to have gone down steeply (I'm at 3 drops for 40+ kills using TH1) and Windy AH has them ~1000gil with always < 40 on stock. The guild used to sell them, but now they don't.

As a bst fighting in w. Altepa, the desert dhalmels seem to drop giant femurs at a rate of 1/5 and a ton of dhalmel hide.

Am new to this site, so if this doesnt go here, I'm sorry. When I went to the crag to get the Mea Crystal, around to one side was a "???" target. When I got close and clicked on it, it said to "give me everything in your pack". I traded some hare meat to it and it asked for more. What is it and what do you give it and what does it do? I cant find it in the strategy guide or on sites I have tried. Any help would be appreciated.

desert dhalmels in western altepa desert drop giant femurs also...

Is this place far from Bastok? If it isn't then could someone give directions. 400-500gil per femur isn't a bad price, but the AH on my server only has acouple at a time.
