Just sold one for 9k in Quetzy. Dropped off Ram in La Theine Plateau. Got 1 Horn and 4 skins. Skins go for 3k each so that's 21k profit of one kill.

these drop normally on rams in latheine and highlands and off of rampaging and lambert in same places, simple theory that was told to me the more weapon skills or special attacks the mob does more then likely the better drop and lvl has a part to do with it as well if its a close fight more then likely u will get more of a drop from mob. th1 has gotten me 4 off of one ram before the sell quick to alot of people farm them easy money and used for crafting

Horn Ring: wind crystal x1 fish scales x1 ram horn x1
desynth the horn ring and obtain a ram horn back.
i havnt confirmed this is true with every item that requires a ram horn yet though.
