That would require like *at least* 2 years of playtime to obtain.

...but...I must admit...I want it, like everyone else that saw it. :P

Well, so far my server Valefor has not obtained this yet. The person with the highest amount of lvl 70s is a JP player named Ultima. He is by far the closest one with 6 lvl 75s and I THINK 3 more 70+. I may be wrong but I know he still has a few jobs lower than 50. Especially since he claims them all including crafts in his bazaar.

Either way, if you obtain this or even 1/5 of this goal (3 lvl 75s), you need to reavaluate your life. That is simply taking a game too far. Maybe if you can make a real living gilselling, I would say sure.... but otherwise - GET A LIFE!

Well I think this is the daily life of a JP.

Morning after waking up: Play FFXI
Head to school: Play FFXI in FFXI class
Lunch: FFXI
Head home: play FFXI with mom and dad
Dinner: Play FFXI while eatting dinner
Homework: Play FFXI while doing homework
Sleep: Sleep, while bazaaring in FFXI
Repeat.

For those unaware, Mumu (the Gilgamesh server player who got all his jobs to 75 and also has this cap) has stated that the teleport is to Upper Jeuno.

Teleport: Jeuno -- doesn't get much sweeter than that. :P

Not like I'll ever get this cap. :P

Mumu didn't say to the person whether or not it auto-recharges, but with one charge and the 24 hour recast, it looks like it auto-recharges like the Dream Hat +1.

I believe this is earned by beating Maat on all the original jobs, WAR MNK THF BLM WHM RDM. This is at least, what I heard from a couple sources.\

It would just take dedication and time, it's not impossible.

It is obtained via the quest "Beyond the Sun" added inm the last patch. However the requirement is to beet maat on all 15 jobs, so basically all jobs 66-70. Have fun with that one all ^^

cannotlinkto has more on it on their message boards check it out ^^

Actually I would believe cannotlinkto.

Did it ever cross your mind that possibly the first Maat Cap was given away as a prize to that person, but that SE also made it a questable item for the people who accomplished it as well in the future?

Pretty much,
SE: Here you go, because you're the first guy to get all jobs to 75, you get this sweet new item before anyone else gets it!

Other Players: But we want one too!

SE: Don't worry, you can as well, just get all your jobs to 75 and complete a little quest and you too can obtain this nice little piece of gear!

So far, all of Somepage's item info has been dead on as opposed to the info from Alla which I've noticed can be way off at times.

So guess what, it's very well possible that you're both wrong and you're both right as well.

Hmmm... so there are two theories here:

1: Beat Maat with all jobs, then beat quest, "Beyond the Sun".

2: Get all jobs to level 75.

Would this, Sashalani, mean that you have to (now) get all jobs to level 75 then do a quest? And they just made an exception with him, considering he's the first person to get all to 75? O.o. I most agree with theory (2), but I dunno...

I think its funny the first thing everyone thinks is "get a life". It's been out in Japan for years now so I see no reason he couldnt have accomplished this with moderate play time.

It always takes longer the first time you get to that max level in these games. After that you know where to go, you have the money you need, and you have friends to help you.

I want to say congratulations on all the hard work and time, I think it's cool SE had a reward for accomplishing such a feat.

no....what's amusing is that you think this can be done by Nihonjin relatively easy.
Some jobs require millions of gil between levels 1 and 75 now a days, i.e. have you seen the prices on magic scrolls!? The game hasn't been out for 4 years, in Japan, try like 3 tops. Add this all in with farming, leveling, questing, missions...I don't think it can be done by one human being. Therefore my conclusion is that this player, or these players, most likely have one character shared by multiple people. I see it a lot. I had a person on my friends list that I would talk to and everyday they would never remember what I was talking about from the day before cause it was a girl and her cousin sharing one character. Took me like a month to figure that one out. I've been playing 2 years, and my highest job is only 52 PLD, and I'm on disability. So you also have to factor in idiot parties that waste 4 hours of your time and make you end up losing EXP at the end. Days spent finding help for Genkai, AF, and other quests you NEED done and all that other happy horse$hit!
My point is, not matter how much you play, other players, luck, karma, and fate can all F*** you over in the end. So I /salute you crazy SOBs that managed to pull this off, cause its absolutely insane, and if you people think at this point in time its to be expected, you're nuts.

Edit P.S. I know 1 American who has 2 jobs at 75, and he has played from DAY 1 of the American Release, and plays for about 8 hours a day. Also he has several very helpful LSes that have enough truly helpful people that when he gets another job to AF levels, all he has to do is say the word and he could get them all done in one day. All jobs to 75 is a goal and a half...I expect this game to go off-line before I even get one job to 75.

There's another thing to think about...one day this game is going off-line...its sad to think about, but all that hard work, all the friends we've made, KaPow gone. Has SE ever made an announcement reguarding the lifespan of Vana'diel?

If you've been playing for a year and only have a job at 52 on disability then something's wrong. As long as you get 1 jobs to 75, you have access to great drops, BCNMs (which have made me millions) HNMs and etc., After the first job u must have ammassed millions in gear that u can possibly sell to level another job and you might not have to ever stop to farm on your next job till the later levels. U can easily farm scrolls (Ninjustu, White, Black, Summoning, Song)that would break your piggybank on the first run, with your first level 75 job.

It does take some time, maybe 5 hours a day, but its not out of this world for one person to do it him/herself.

It's not as hard as you make it out. In my LS we have two NAs that have 5 jobs at 75. Myself have 2 jobs 75, and I work full time and take many breaks. The thing is, when I'm not on breaks you can accomplish a lot by having a set schedule and a good plan.
RE: Amusing
# May 26 2005 at 2:58 PM Rating: Decent
Well, I have a couple of responses to Milbereth. First, getting to lvl 75 isn't difficult if you have a set pt. I have a friend on our LS who's played for a little over a year, and has a lvl 75, 72 and 67. And that's with moderate playing. It's just finding people that are good to pt with. And now with the nex xp system, it will be even easier.

In regards to the farming, quests, etc.. There's a reason the price of everything is sky-rocketing on every server. Two words. Gil selling. I've seen more people walking around Vana'diel with Scorpian Harnesses than Iron Musketeer's armor nowadays.

And since the gil selling companies orignated in Japan, I'm sure that's more commonly practiced especially with the cost of everything more than tripling (at least the high-end items).

In regards to shelf life of FFXI. I don't see this dying anytime soon. Why else would SE/XBox make such a big deal of the XBox 360 offering the game?

They have over 500,000 people paying $13.00 (minimum) a month (that's over$6 million a month) and that's not including all the mules out there.

So I think it might stay around for a while.

People have said the same thing about Ultima Online going offline, yet it's still going strong, with more expansions being added every so often. I think FF, with enough of a fan base, can last atleast as long as UO, if only because it's such an addicting series. Just my 2 cents, feel free to disagree. I have a friend on Bahamut that has 7 jobs over 72 and a few others over 50, and he started March 2004. I myself have 2 jobs level 60+, and a few others closing on the 40s, and I started the same time as my aforementioned NA friend. I do agree that it takes massive amounts of gil to level most jobs, but gil is pretty easy to obtain if you level jobs that can solo pretty easily (RDM or BST for example) and RDM was my first job past 60 (took me a year to get it to 62, it was my first job).
a theory

my three theories on how the teleport works on it:

A: It might be an infinite warp cudgel, ie it takes you to your home point.

B: it takes you to Maat. lol Teleport-Jeuno {All Right!}

C: and this is my favorite one. it takes you to the burning circle that your current job fights Maat at. Example, if you were a white mage, and you had this cap teleport you, you'd go to Giddeus. If you were a Red Mage, you'd go to Waughoon Shrine.

if you click on the enchantment teleport option on the top it says "Teleports the user to Tavnazian Safehold" but there is only two items with this mod and one is a Tavnazian ring. Does anyone know if the item is reuseable (rechargable) and where it actually takes you. imo i dont think the cap will take you to tavnazian but i dont have one to find out.

To seperate fact from fiction, this cap was given as a special award by SE to the first person (obviously japanese) to get all jobs to lvl 75.
This was stated by SE in an interview at E3 2005, check FFXIstratics for the full interview.

Does this mean If you get all jobs to 75 you will get a cap? Maybe, maybe not, this was a special award specifically made for this person, there may never be another one made^^ or anyone who can withstand FFXI enough to get all jobs to 75.

it's all jobs 70+ to get this item... that's the onlt reason the item has only been, well, discovered until recently, because some one only recently... I believe in the last month got them all to 75 or something and got the first one...

and yea, guy doesn't need a life... game IS his life, nothing really wrong with that, just, uh... kinda sad from a lot of ppl's persepective.

Realistically, all jobs over 70? We all have played for a while and I mean c'mon. It' hard enouph to get 1 job to 75 let alone all of them. I don't think the guy who has all 70+ jobs needs to get a life, this game IS his life and most likely he's making bank off it too. He definatly a gil seller I'm sure and he most likely started from Day one. Big Picture, I can be done. But I aint doing it.

No Life? Pfft.
# May 26 2005 at 1:37 AM Rating: Default
I don't really think that Japanese players need a life because they do. Japanese are waa~y more hardcore gamers than Americans; no offense ^^; And the fact that they had this game for over 3-4 years so you shoudln't be surprised that all their jobs are Lv. 70+.

About obtaining it, I also agree that you must have all jobs to Lv. 70 and beat Maat. But I son't believe you need ADV jobs too, jobs such as PLD, DRK, NIN, ect. Just Basic jobs like, WAR, THF, MNK, ect.

The teleport effect isn't quite figured out yet and same as the effect on the Return Ring. The Return Ring is an item rewarded from the "Adventurer Appreciation" event, and it has a 10/10 charge with the Enhancemet: Outpost Warp. No one really knows what outpost, just an outpost. No one also knows if you can choose. Many people have this item (due to the fact that it's waa~y easy to get) but some people may be like me and not use it, hence it's a 10/10 item and it will never recharge itself, no one may ever know.

To obtain the Return Ring, you have to party up with another person or a whole, full party and go to all the Major Citys: Bastok, San d'Oria, Windurst and talk to the "Party Experts" in the designated city. After doing so, talk to the moogle (I recommend your own hometown for some reason) and wala! Your very own Return Ring!

Outpost Warp on the Return Ring functions as follows:

You have to use it in a zone in which your nation has control. It will take you to the Outpost of the region of the zone you used it in. At least that is how my wife was able to use it. ~.^

I'm guessing that if you had all your jobs up to 75 or 70 even then this teleport ability I would probably want it to send me anywhere I damn wanted. I would want it to send me to any Crag or tele point, as well as to any Outpost or any NPC if that was at all possible.

Though, looking at the Tavnazian Ring posts the teleport on that seems to send ppl to Tavnazia. If this ring just Teleported you to Jeuno then i guess it would be pretty coolish benefit. Though i'd hope that by 70 or 75 with all jobs someone would have figured out the most efficient ways of getting anywhere.
