Just did this, here's what I used:
AF set except for:
Justacorps instead of AF Body (for +int and +hp)
Started with:
Intensifying Cape (for +HP and +MP)
Moldavite and Bat Earring (I was mainly worried about spell interrupts after manafont wore)
Mannequin Pumps (for while manafont was active, af boots after)
Edged up to the edge of the ring, pulled out my staff, cast ice spikes, popped a blinding potion for the bat earrings, a yagudo drink, a boiled crayfish, on myself, and cast Flare. I wanted to engage with my weapon on the off chance that I might get some parries on the puppet's attacks or in case it rolled me some TP.
As soon as flare was done, while the puppet was drawing it's weapon and running to me, i cast blind and bio 2 for attack down. Burn might also be a good thing to try to land at this point but I didn't think of that when I was making my macros.
After that, manafont and then water 3 followed by flood to follow up on the water defense down from flare. While flood was casting i opened equip screen and changed some of that initial +HP +MP gear to +INt gear (ie, the cape to black cape +1). aero 3, then drain and aspir (I chose to ES aspir instead of drain because at that point my mp bar was a lot lower than my hp bar).
Another round of tier 3s and it went down.
End lesson:
Ice Spikes owned it. Looking back at the log it missed me quite a few times. I didn't parry any attacks, but the long spell cast timers give you plenty of time to watch what the goblin is rolling in case you can weapon skill after a spell finishes before switching stafs on the next spells macro. Looking back at the log my swings in between casts all were misses (probably blinding pots didn't help) but if you use an elemental weapon skill like Rock Crusher (no earth crusher, aoe no thanks) I don't think those can miss.
The puppets attacks averaged 16-22 dmg, criticals went up to 34 but there were only one or two of those. MP was the scarier issue for me than HP was by far, but somewhere in my run the goblin also rolled the puppet some HP back. :( Not too difficult, but like all the solo ENM 60s the rolls seem like they could make or break you. :( Can't wait to try this one again!
