So a ws can be helped by 2 diff gorgets? DE would be what light and breeze?

Also, why doesnt sidewinder or DE have distortion properties in that chart? Last I checked Sidewinder > DE made distortion so I'd expect them both to have distortion properties.

Transfixion (the secondary element of Sidewinder) > Scission (Primary element of Dancing Edge) results in Skillchain: Distortion. The RNG would want to wear a Light (or Aqua or Breeze - also applicable to Sidewinder) gorget, and the THF would want to wear a Soil (or Breeze) gorget.

I can't wait to get one of these so I can use it on Kasha & Sidewinder as SAM/RNG. I plan on adding a Snow Gorget to cover Yukikaze & Gekko, maybe a Dark Gorget for Penta Thrust & Impulse Drive, then if I ever get Amanomurakumo, I'll add a Breeze.

No, Dancing Edge would be Earth & Wind.
Shark Bite would Fragmentation (Thunder & Wind) so you'll want a Breeze gorget for those.
Elemental Gorgets Explained
# Dec 01 2005 at 10:26 PM Rating: Excellent
●●フレイムゴルゲット
Flame Gorget: Latent activates when using a WS that possesses
"LIQUEFACTION" and "FUSION" attribute.

●●スノーゴルゲット
Snow Gorget: Latent activates when using a WS that possesses
"INDURATION" and "DISTORTION" attribute.

●●ブリーズゴルゲット
Breeze Gorget: Latent activates when using a WS that possesses
"DETONATION" and "FRAGMENTATION" attribute.

●●ソイルゴルゲット
Soil Gorget: Latent activates when using a WS that possesses
"SCISSION" and "GRAVITATION" attribute.

●●サンダーゴルゲット
Thunder Gorget: Latent activates when using a WS that possesses
"IMPACTION" and "FRAGMENTATION" attribute.

●●アクアゴルゲット
Aqua Gorget: Latent activates when using a WS that possesses
"REVERERATION" and "DISTORTION" attribute.

●●ライトゴルゲット
Light Gorget: Latent activates when using a WS that possesses
"TRANSFIXTION" and "FUSION" attribute.

●●シャドウゴルゲット
Shadow Gorget: Latent activates when using a WS that possesses
"COMPRESSION" and "GRAVITATION" attribute.

And as I've said before, if it was base on the Icon next to the WS 90% of the gorgets are useless because 90% of them are grey/white.

To look at each weapon skill's attribute, view them at this link:

Question:
The Icon for a light weaponskill is gray, correct?
Does this work on neutral skills like Fast Blade, Double Thrust, Slice, etc? Or only on light element skills?

For that matter, are status-inflicting skills like Flat Blade based on their icon color/stat change, or based on if it does elemental damage or not?
I.E. First case, Flat Blade is Thunder, where as in the second case, it would be neutral (or light, depending on wtf we figure out)

No, white means that the WS has no magical damage attached, colored means that it has magical damage attached of that element. The element of an actual weapon skill isn't shown in plain sight like it's magical attachment, people had to figure it out manually over time.
nope

It's based on the element of the WS not on the day, that was already proven on the RNG forum.

I thought of it first:

So you can recieve a Max - 30% increase in WS Acc & Dmg^^

There is a Gorget for all Element Days!

The 10% bonuses for each weather icon and for the day are for the Obi only, the gorgets are dependant upon you WS attributes.

Do you actually 'Have' the "Light Gorget" or Any of the other Gorget's that you get from the Quest?

The Laten effect would be activated when using a Light based weapon skill.

If you look at your weapon skill, the color of the Icon will show what element it is.

For example, Gust, is Air, so it is Green

You're wrong, this is activated if your weaponskill is Transfixion or Fusion based, since Transfixion is Light (level 1) and Fusion is Fire/Light (level 2).
Latent.
