I have this crossbow and it does indeed give you the demon killer effect if you do not already have it. It is impossible to get the effect without being a samurai (tatami shield comes to mind), so that is probably why it says it "enchances" the effect even though none of the jobs that can equip this normally have that ability.
IMPORTANT: it's a wind crystal synthesis, not water (like this site sais)

the other +3 is from advanced synthesis image support
enhances demon killer effect? How does it work? Demon killer is a lvl 40 sam ability isnt it? Wouldnt you have to have the ability to enhance it? Or does it just give you the ability?
The way that I understand it is that it will give you the trait. Otherwise it is useless to put on there unless they raise the level cap to 80 which will happen... eventually.
Made one today. Its still at the point where NQ = profit. Flauros whisker's used to be 200-250k on my server, they've doubled since this came out. Unicorn horn used to be like 10k but i got mine for this bow for 120k. No one has hq'ed it yet on my server.
Uses a damn unicorn horn, this will cost my left nut and more.

Unicorn Horns are 10k (1 million when CoP came out and dropping fast since Spring) on my server, I can't imagine they're all that much more expensive on others.
