I did not see anyone post this, but I believe you will gain TP faster with a Platoon Lance than you would with this. Not that that really makes a whole lot of difference to some people, but if you are setting up distortion, Platoon lance should get you there faster than this guy. Thouhgh I do agree, this does look alot cooler.

Even without the rarely occuring additional effect, this pumps out more DPS than the platoon lance, however... I'm new to drg and I'm not sure how well higher damage weapons work with Jump vs faster weapons.
DPS speaking... Platoon = 37 DMG / 492 Delay
Fuscina = 31 DMG / 396 Delay
so that comes out to... Platoon = .0752
Fuscina = .0782
They're nearly matched, but the Fuscina does come out ahead. Dividing DMG/Delay will always show the best DPS weapon, but if you like planning ahead and hate math, you could always browse on [url]www.ffxiah.com[/url], it'll show DPS (I don't know their formula, but the damage displayed is for comparison purposes). A very useful site.
To put that damage difference into perspective, here's the difference between a Brass Spear and a Brass Spear +1
Brass Spear = 25 DMG / 396 Delay = .0631
Brass Spear +1 = 26 DMG / 385 Delay = .0675
So its about the DPS difference of a +1 Weapon, plus a rarely occuring additional effect. I think I'm going to find out which will be more efficient with Jump before I make a desicion, but I hope this helps someone else out a bit. ^^
If nothing else, its a slightly cheaper alternative to the Platoon Lance. I might just get both and see which one I like more.

Actually i rather like it and hacve used it for some time the lit dam dosent happen as often as i would like it to but over all Nice wep and Verry Sweet Lookin lol

yeah i think platoon is its a tiny bit slower then the Fuscina but the platoon dose almost 2* the amount that Fuscina dose ok if ur using war to get to 30 then yeah good investment but if ur lazy and use a monk or thf ( thf is better at 30 yes better then war)then its a bit of a waste of money
I used this on my War while leveling Polearm for my Dragoon(always nice to have a weapon capped)

Pirate Chart in Valkurm , its a 20 cap 3 man NM fight

This one specifically drops in the Valkurm Dunes BC Fight I think its 100% drop but altrenativly drops Kris instead of this. 20 cap recommenc 3 lvl 20 BSTs Charm T mobs on the beach and 2 HR while feeding pet foods when you can
So..any other information? Like is it a BC fight in Valkurm(how?)

Start the 20 cap fishing thing with a friend around to beat up the mobs you catch.

For a dragoon, I like the platoon lance better. I never get the lightning damage when it could really help. I picked this lance up when I was leveling samurai so I could keep polearm capped for a while, but this isn't my favorite anymore.
